Root [ROM][ICS] MIUI V4-2.9.14 alpha 4 (9/16/12)

Man this rom is rockin so hard. I know you have been thanked and praised a million times but here is one more. Thanks so much blood for giving the marquee some major love. This rom is fantastic!!!!
 
Like always thank you for this rom and not only that but sticking to making it better and not just giving us a half ass rom, I see you are making progress on the camera cause is looking fine thru the screen but the pics still coming out green, but there's progress and for that I say thanks keep doing ur thing man......:smokingsomb:
 
Just incase you wanted to know of some bugs i am having.

- Phone sound cuts out randomly during phone call i have to turn speaker on and off to hear the person or for them to hear me
- microphone turns off when headphones are plugged in (just a preference)
- you know about the wifi making 3g not work when it turns off i see
- Lag, but nothing that you cant fix later. Alpha4 definitley was much smoother, but ill use it until it is fixed

EDIT:
- some users probably are describing this problem as the call disconnecting,but i noticed the call is still connected, its the speaker or sound that cuts out during the call
- signal is definitley much lower than i had with ctmod 3.68

is the sound problem your talking about with the speaker phone on or is it happening on regular calls?
 
Blood, I had the same issue with the last version. The speaker would quit working while using the speakerphone. I had to deactivate the speakerphone so that I could continue the conversation. I never dropped a call though.

I thought this issue was known. That's the reason I didn't report it. This only happens while using the speakerphone. Non-speakerphone conversations were not affected.
 
couple bugs that i saw. some of the icons weren't drawing. I had a theme and when I switched the icons around some would disappear. the went to the last screen. that and some lockscreen components from a theme didn't draw completely. the speed is awesome but sometimes when you have a lot of apps it'll slow down but that's every phone lol

oh yeah! My mom said my phone call was muffled when I called.idk if it was my phone speaker or the rom

I haven't had any problems with themes. it could just be a bug with the theme you were using, also sometimes you have to do a reboot or a hot boot after you apply one for the theme to fully take.
 
I have a question about MIUI. What is the major differences between MIUI and say Cyanogenmod or other custom ROMS? Obviously I know the interface is different. But what are the major differences?

It happens with both instances. i have someone call me or i call someone and the earpiece sound goes out after a few seconds, so i turn on speaker and it sometimes works or i have to turn speaker off a certain number of times in order to get the call to hear the person on the other end of the call.
 
Had a similar issue this morning but it seemed as though it dropped the call. After I made one call successfully, the next one dropped/went silent. I kept redialing the number and after a 5-10 seconds into the call it went silent. Thought maybe it had something to do with the proximity thing but I believe I tried it once with the phone level and not turning the screen off and the call stopped. During all this I was not using the speaker phone -- only the headset earpiece. I rebooted and made the call again and it worked fine.

I haven't noticed any icon issues but sometimes very slow drawing of the screen - it remains all white for a good 2-5 seconds before whatever program I launched appears. I have Rom Toolbox on it and have the CPU on 600min 1000max using interactiveX.

Thanks for continuing to work on this rom =D -- looking forward to any updates here or on CTMod.

Blood. My phone was never able to run above 1300 with hyperics but lately I got it run on 1380... happy about that :) what did you change?
 
Had some issues with the play store so i tried to get into apps and services framework to clear data through system settings. It appears to load up for a second then goes into hot boot every time. Not sure if it's user error or something else, but thought I'd throw it out to see if anyone else has had it happen

Heh, I don't know about ROM Manager. Even though they say it's safe to use on this phone, I've heard of people having problems with it. A good cwm backup is always good to have though.
