as far as the rosie question goes, yes the term rosie will always refer to the app drawer, phone, and customize buttons on the homescreen.

i believe that beats is just something that is baked in so that when your plugged in with headphones (a beats icon should appear, not to sure about this rom as i have not tried it) beats will automatically kick in. it is kind of like the dsp manager of sorts. also make sure that in the music app that you select menu/sound enhancer/beats audio.
 
r14 build is running nice. Ziggy has included smartassv2 governor with the new kernel. sdcard mount bug is gone:)

For me the only issue I have is the stock browser closes out but using a different browser such as Opera Mini solves that bug. There are probably other bugs but.......

I never use the stock browser anyways. I use Firefox I can link it with the one on my comp so i have all my bookmarks. I plan on getting this flashed today. Will be at church most of the day so i'll have to report back this evening. (Still Backing up and stuff at the moment)

I never use anything but the stock browser, I've never seen a need for another browser seeing that the stock browser is just fine. And for my bookmarks for certain pages, I use Bookmarks Manager;) Simple backup, simple restore, small footprint:D
 
I have tried twice. Same result. It may be the way that i installed the rom.

-backed up data and apps
-factory reset
-debug on
-put rom in folder on SD
-reboot to revolutionary
-went to bootloader
-went to recovery
-backed up data
-reset again
-tried to install rom from sd

Any problems with this?

You've already backed everything up so you're good there, try this:

Reboot to recovery

Choose "flash zip from sd card" (don't know if you're using CW or Amon RA but both recoveries will have a similar option)

Select the ROM you've placed onto your sd card

And let it do it's thing. It should be as easy as that. If you haven't read http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/441044-flash-guide-us-all-d.html, check it out.
 
Theres been a lot of people having download issues, so it could just be another bad file.

Also are you wiping? I didnt see any mention of it other than factory reset?
 
Yeah I'm having issues with this as well going to try and download it again. It installs ok but then wont move from the boot screen. I just see my splash screen. I've let this go the last time about 45 minutes. Ofcourse I have wiped, double wiped, and triple wiped. NADA. So going to do a nandroid of swag and then redownload and try it again IF not successful then I will have to wait until the next one comes out :( (With Really Big Horse Turd Sized Tears)

revolutionary has nothing to do with flashing roms. all it does is give you s-off and unlocks your nand so that you can flash roms and such.

also just to be clear on wiping, you need to minimally wipe dalvik cache, cache, and data before flashing a rom. a factory reset is not enough. what recovery do you have? i would suggest that you switch to amon ra2.3, if you have not done so already. you can get instructions on how to in the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html.

Factory reset is unessasary just wipe cache, dalvic, data, boot ,system 3 times and use ZZZsuperwipe.

Don't put rom in folder place it in root of card.
what do you mean reboot into revolutionary?
what data did you back up?
reset what again?

So far depending on the answers to my questions yes.
 
I am not trying to burn up post on this thread about my issues with it.

Last post on my part.

I can select what rom I want to install through the revolutionary's recovery menu.

I just downloaded Superwipe and redownladed the file once more. This rom sounds bad ass and I want it.

please feel free to ask as many quetions as you like. this is a forum after all;)

ok so the recovery that comes with revolutionary is clockwork mod 5 and it is not compatible with superwipe. it has to do with the scripts that is not supported by clockwork mod. please read the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html on recoveries and how to switch recoveries if you choose to.

THE FROG IS ONCE AGAIN INFECTED :D

Finally have gotten things straightend out and got this one working now. Part of my issue was just me being a JACK ARSE (dang I a mule and a frog wow) I thought I had a bad download but it wasn't the download it was the transfer. I must have done something STOOOOOOPID just not sure what :eek: So I did another Download and Transfered again however this time it looks like it worked. I now have it up and running have to test a few things out then do my nandroid and then the everlasting fun of installing my apps / sounds / wallpapers/ and lots and lots and lots of uhmmmm nevermind :D
