Yes. I tried the link the the XDA forum and it didn't work twice.

Tried the download link in post #2 of this thread and file was actually different name as well. So I assume they are different files. I don't know.

I also got super wipe and am 2.3 working. Seems the same but what ever you guys say. lol.

Also did all the necessary wipes and backups as well. Which I only kinda did before.

good glad you have it working for you.

Yeah half ass isnt going to cut it. It will just cause all kinds of headaches.

First thoughts:

Boot animation: :(
Loved the old synergy ones... its just the plain HTC quietly brilliant boot animation with a beats logo thrown in once in a while.

Displaying EvDo instead of 3G

Seems snappy, running aggressive freedom

Different clock/weather widget, am a fan of more real estate ;)

Hotspot/wifi works

Comes with Daemon Controller

Mount as disk drive issues... screen shot to come once i get that worked out

SS for as soon as it boots:

OH MY I AM ONCE AGAIN INFECTED :D

Do Not worry my dear friends I am extremely contagious :D

LOVING LOVING LOVING No you don't understand I'M LOVING IT :D

I agree with Rxpert I don't like the plain bootanimation

I love the Weather/Clock Widget its awesome. I'm still setting it up. Had the day off but wife had to work so I figured if I want to stay married I better get some chores done :p

Have had a couple small issues. I can't seem to get widgets to show up on the Sense laucher (No Problem under GO Launcher) I love the battery meter in the notification that shows the percent left in the battery like swag had and evervolv wish this had it. USB is charging phone but I cannot get the USB Dialog to show up to allow me to choose. I have Even Tried setting it up as disk drive only and nada :(

Still I'm very happy with the look feel and the weight of this. The download weight was a bit heavy I thought but with all my programs installed (It installed them automatically) I have like 196 megs of space left.

Will Post a Screen Shot as soon as I can

Looks like in the r19 build, the new eternity boot animation will be this release;)

weird its working for me now. Will it just not recognize the sd card? or does it not see an sd card period? And no problem mounting in recovery?

Plug it into computer and no dialog for charge only/mount

Have no issues mounting it through recovery.

Same thing with storage settings

Grr I just finished setting up r19 and now 20 is out with memory fixes.
Is it possible to just wipe dalvik and cache and flash over or are we required to flash from scratch everytime?

Sorry for the triple post...... but I've solved my prior problem and would just like to post it up for anyone else that wants to keep up with each update but doesn't want to download everything each time

Had same problem (Reported it)

Someone told me to change the settings over to spanish and then change it back. Don't know if this will work but its worth a shot.

The Thread is here

So I got this downloaded at home on my comp at home... Just waiting to get off work to flash this... Haven't done it yet because i am planning on partitioning my SD before i do this... Can someone point me to a good step by step on doing this? Is it necessary? Don't use alot of apps? What are pros and cons of running my ROM off a partition and does anyone know how much space id have left if i just flash it without doing this?

I've had problems recovering messages in the past when flashing new roms (stock messenger) not a big deal at all but should i plan on having this same problem here with this ROM... Using mikg just another sense 3.0 Rom right now...

Everything you need to know about how to flash and partition your SD card can be found in the rooting for dummies gingerbread guide.

I would highly suggest having a partitioned SD card of at least class 6 for this ROM. It is a very large download (r20 is over 300mb) and will take up a lot of space. If you don't know what class your SD card is, chances are it is the stock class 2. You can still give it a try, but apps may be slow to load and laggy.

Just know before you flash that this is still in the early stages. It does have issues and it gets updated like 3-4 times per day. WIth that being said, I would check to make sure the ROM you downloaded is still the most current tonight before installing it.

I'm going to have to take this off. It's way to heavy. I havent put anything on it and I'm almost out of space. Love me some virus Rom but this is way to heavy for my taste. Loving the work though
Definitely goin to have to use dark tremors on this one

Has anyone else noticed the browswer is not working and times out when using the internet?? I loved the rom but that can be an issue...

it's a shame that beats audio doesn't kick in when pandora is playing... that is the only "music" that i listen to thru my evo... headset to auxiliary jack in truck radio and no "beats"... is "beats" really all that it's cracked up to be??? does it work well??? i don't have a headset to give it a listen to... yay or nay....

EDIT - reason why i snuck this in on this thread is that it's the only one that i've gotten "beats" to show up on...

You can certainly give it a try, but most likely the card will be too slow to run the apps off of.

And that goes for all ROMS. Most people suggest class 6 or higher for partitioning

Straight from the guide:
you will need a higher class card to do this, preferably a class 6 or higher. the higher class card is need especially if you use intensive apps like games and such. the reason is that since the apps are on the card the phone then needs to read and write on the card as the app runs. so if you have a slower card your apps will suffer.

However, it is worth it being partitioned. Even with a ROM this big I still have 250 mb left of internal memory after installing and getting it running the way I like.

Unfortunately, for most of it yes. You can always try flashing over for the smaller updates but you never really know how thats going to work. I thought my method above would negate that but I see now that it does not.

This seems to be the normal with a nightly build. You go into it knowing that it is in active development and the devs put an update out for their work as soon as they finish something (virus had like 6 updates yesterday).

If your not into that you can just wait a few weeks and he should have most things worked out :p

Or you can just update as you see fit. Just because theres some new bug fixed doesnt mean you have to install the update.

WIth many ROMs pushing out an update tomorrow I think Im going to end up flashing tommytomatoes classic just so I get some stability for a while before coming back to this.

Still having issues with this one. going to let things settle down before messing with it again. back to swag for now. Hope it starts go get slimmer to. I can barely add a few programs before i reach oom. Still the best looking rom out there IMO.

Peace
The Frog is out (I gotta go to work :( but i will be able to eat and take care of my family :D ) so hands on our socks and off our

Cyanogenmod a2sd is already installed with this rom. I would recommend NOT using dark tremors as it will probably cause more issues;)

Has anyone else noticed the browswer is not working and times out when using the internet?? I loved the rom but that can be an issue...

In the recent builds, the browser hasn't been working but there are 2 options. Use a different browser, like opera mini OR to use the stock browser there's a fix. Go to your app tray, find the internet icon, open it up. The press menu>more>settings>scroll all the way to the bottom and find 'Enable Plugins>then select On demand

Browser works fine over here

In the recent builds, r20, r22, I believe these are the builds with the bugged browser.;)

Known issue. simply use a different browser

Opera mini worked for me

So my stock 8gb sd card isn't fit to be partitioned to run this on?

The stock card is sufficient, I didn't see a big difference while using the stock 8gb class 4 card. Now I'm using 8gb class 10 sdcard and I'm not seeing a significant difference but that's just me;)

How do I download the new versions? R19, r20, etc.... do I have to wipe and re-flash the whole deal?

Virus recommends a full wipe between builds for now. Probably in the future after a RLS or a RC is released, a wipe of cache and Dalvik cache should be good enough. But right now, there's such big changes that a full wipe is recommended;)

is it just me or are none of the download links working for the nightlies?

I haven't had any trouble with the downloads but before you flash the rom, check the MD5 sum. I use ES File Explorer to check the MD5 sum before flashing.

Using ES, find the zip file, long press on the zip file, go to properties and then calculate the MD5. If it matches up to the MD5 on zip file, then you are good to flash:D
