Root [ROM][July14] Icy Fusion V5.0 | Smooth | Tweaked | Themed | Battery

Everything in 5.0 working nicely so far except for Google Now / Voice Search force closes soon after launch :(

Is there a workaround for this? I need voice search for my EVA app.
 
Azoller1 tomorrow I'm going to make you flashable zips for each launcher so there isn't a lot of clutter on the Rom :) cause ive see a lot of complaints about it

Edit: also you're doing a really good job on this Rom!! I've got some build prop tweaks that might help ya, I still got to add them to my Rom ;)
 
on 5.0...I can send texts without a problem, but I am not receiving any. Any ideas on how to fix this?it might just be me, but I wanted to see if anyone else was having this issue. I tested this by sending a text to my google voice number and then replying from google voice back to my phone. Never got the text back
 
as soon as I downloaded Handcent, I was able to receive my texts, but they were still not coming to the native messaging app.

**update, also began receiving texts on native app as well. As soon as I deleted handcent, I stopped receiving texts again. I don't know if this has something to do with how you were using message helper on 4.5

I have no idea if azoller1 has done anything with this ROM to mess with that, but I have had this happen in other ROMs and I had to call Verizon for the fix. Unfortunately, I never found out what they did, but I do know the fix had to come from their side. This seemed to happen whenever I flashed a lot of ROMs over a short period of time.
 
ok , so does this mean that my "4G" wont work? What type limits will I have with the "T-CDMA 64" ? Or are there work arounds? As expressed in other listing texting is rather slow as well just a heads up.
 
I had problems with all of the message apps until i dloaded Handcent. All notifications started to work, and messages, started again. I deleted helper and the other, i now prefer handcent, due to its customizability. Just set it to be the default message client.

Everything is mint.. Only issue is it says "T-CDMA 64" Instead of Verizon.. EVERYTHING IS OK
 
I hate to sound as though I'm beating a dead horse, however I have no data connection while on "T-CDMA 64" I have no "4G". Is there a fix or should the "T-CDMA 64" work as "4G" and if so how will I know if it is working if I don't have any indicators in my notification bar? 99% of the time I have no data connection. WIFi works but "4G" or "T-CDMA 64" does not.
 
I think it might be another issue broham.. I have 4g coverage as well as 3g and 1x.. maybe you could try playing with network settings, disable data connect than re-enable.. Check radios? maybe try even ##data or whatever that code is.. I know this isnt the best answer but jus trynna help yo
 
yep no problems with data rom has been rock solid all the way back to 2.0 . sometimes it not show the data sign(4g) if u have juice defender on , think it shuts it off while not in use or at least that what it does on mine but when screen is on for a sec or two it goes back to 4g.

Thanks for the suggestion I'll try it and see if that works ! Does anyone else know what to try or what could be causing 4G to stop working and to have T-CDMA 64?

Step-by-step to return to V6 stock and stock recovery. After that just follow the LG instructions online for the V7 update.

Then follow this to get root, unlock boot loader, and reinstall CWM. This will however break Bluetooth.

It is also possible to just root without unlocking the boot loader and keep Bluetooth buy you will not be able to install CWM or flash other ROMS.

Doesn't matter if you're rooted. Just need to be on pure stock Rom with all the bloat installed (frozen is ok) and stock recovery. Then take the ota. If the ota fails then use the LG update tool on your pc
