Root [ROM][July14] Icy Fusion V5.0 | Smooth | Tweaked | Themed | Battery

kip if you want to, download the bootanimation from rom toolbox (the razr one) and then move the bootanimation zip over to your dropbox or something then i could put that into my rom if you want me to
 
thats too cool had no idea i could do that thanks . i dont have dropbox . but after lil googling hope to have one soon , only thing is it dosent make the droid noise on boot
 
Google works fine as does google voice. Google voice dialer cant understand anything, and messenger cant voice anything, and as well can't maintain contacts.
 
Everything else seems to work. In call volume still low, no way to control it. Everything else loud as hell
 
Maybe change the kernel . Had.a problem with my device changed kernel to speed kernel and sounds was fixed
 
If you know your device systems folders very well and know how to use file explorer you wouldn't need rom toolbox ..
 
Ok went back to Handcent, that fixed the SMS/MMS issue, LOL. Don't use voice dialer, would be nice though. All I need now is for the call volume to go up some and I'm a happy camper.
 
Alrighty. the voice dialer app works fine, it's the in contacts voice dialer that's futzed. No biggie I can live with that. So now I'm down to just the call volume.

I like the speed of the Rom, can't speak to the battery life yet. Everything I use functions nicely, save the call volume. I did reinstall the LG Home as I like the panoramic feature of the home screens, and it seemed to eliminate the lag, and occasional FC of some features. Experia, was throwing force close messages left and right even though I wasn't using it. And I did manage to get my contacts back, thanks Verizon Backup!
 
I can't really tell if the in-call volume just SEEMS louder to me or if it actually IS louder, but try putting the three Bluetooth APKs back in /system/app, reboot into recovery, clear cache, clear dalvik and reboot.

UPDATE: CONFIRMED!!! Putting the bluetooth APKs (or at least "Bluetooth.apk" and "BluetoothServices.apk" based on kip101's experience with barebones' ROM) in /system/app restores the in-call volume to stock levels. Don't forget to wipe the caches and a Fix Permissions never hurts!

I confirmed this with two LG Spectrums, one bone-stock and one running Icy Fusion 5.3, calling each other, one in each ear. I even switched ears to make sure!

I've got a busy day at work today (and only 3 hrs sleep), otherwise I'd post a flashable update.

I think this is probably a stupid question, but if you replaced the bluetooth APKs, do you get Bluetooth back? Or is that still kaputzed?
 
No bluetooth is still not working when you unlock the bootloader


What issues do i have to fix, lets see, add bluetooth stuff for better call audio, re add init.d support to make them work, fix messaging thing, hmmmm what else? add lghome3?
 
take out battery percentage on battery icon. there really isnt any point in putting the percent on the battery cus you can put it percent in the settings.

can you try to fix the t cdma 64
 
Battery is doing pretty good. Couple of phone calls, a bunch of texting, and some some other odds and ends, and battery is at 80% from 9:30 AM. Looking good. Now phone call volume, and I'm good. No issues otherwise.
 
I got 1 text message message today and after that nothing. Now I just got a phone call from a friend angry as to why I haven't responded all day. I send her a text earlier today and never got a reply from her. She got my message but I am not receiving any. It's not just with her. Another friend said he texted me and I got nothing.

EDIT: Installed handcent and it works.
Haven't had the time to test this new ROM yet. Finals are coming up so I have a lot of work to do this week.
 
@blueracer it might be because of some of the build prop tweaks ill remove some lines and im adding a different messaging app to fix the audio thing

@stackrat thanks for the update on battery glad to see it doing well
 
I flashed from v5.3 to R1.1 and checked with GPS, it's really bad the cursor (compass arrow) move all over and couldnt tell which position it is N, E, W or S. I tried to use GPS Toolbox seem still searching for GPS, while on v5.3 it was working fine.

Also try use the app "raindar" the compass keep moving too fast, tried re-calibration for compass and pitch and roll still no luck.
 
when swaping the bluetooth apks, do i use root explorer or is it done in recovery , thanks in advance. ok i re read og post , recovery , trying now hope it works love the rom just need more volume lol
