Root [ROM][July14] Icy Fusion V5.0 | Smooth | Tweaked | Themed | Battery

Is there some way of getting the regular Play Music app into the ROM? The modded one it comes with works just fine, but I'm using that "All Access" service they've got going now and I can't seem to actually use it on my phone.

Loving the ROM otherwise. :)

Running 4.7 for what it's worth and have never had any problems other than this.

With a root explorer go into /system/app and delete it, then just install it from the play store. :D

Well, I did that (well, I moved the .APK out to a temporary directory on the SD Card heh) and I all I get is the option to update what's already installed. I can't uninstall what's there, merely update it.

And when I go to update it, it complains about it not being signed and just gives up.

So then I actually went through and deleted it. Went to the Play Store, saw an "Install" instead of "Update"...

And it gives me an error stating "Incompatible update"

I can't win to lose. :P

Get a root explorer then delete the apk from the system app folder Music+.apk then reboot then install play music from the market

Edit: whoops didn't see legmandos post! Nvm then!

I looked through the thread and maybe I just didn't see it but how do you enable/disable LTE? I am coming from the CM10.1 RC2 and you can change it right in the pulldown menu.
BTW, this ROM is by far the best as far as battery life goes. I tried most of the others and can barely make it 6 hrs with normal usage.

Well to turn data connectivity off just click the data arrows in the pull down menu, for lte/CDMA control its something like #*#*4636#*#* in the phone dial that

I tried this and get nothing. In the Mobile network setting I get no options for it either.

The order of the first 4 symbols is inverted. You dial *#*#4636#*#* and select "phone Information". Then scroll down to the "LTE/CDMA/EvDo", click it and select "CDMA auto (PRL)". Done.

You will get this screen:

I haven't tried with this particular ROM. But I do know that that code doesn't work with zv8. For some reason lg and Verizon decided to not let us do all that :/

Can this ROM be flashed in twrp 2.5.0.0?? I tried it but it didn't boot.

I don't want to derail this thread but

Did you happen to grab the recovery.log from twrp when you tried? If you you did post it up on the twrp thread so this one can stay on topic.

Tried it last night. Its v8 based. That whole menu has been stripped from the ROM. There's no way to disable 4g :/ only downside to this rom

Made an update might be final release not sure, added and removed some things

This has been my daily for as long as it has been available.
None of the other ROMs have Aspect Ratio Correction.
I have tried the latest PAC ROM and even tho it has something like that, I can't seem to hit the magic setting for SPB Time to work.

I really enjoy this ROM and my wife has it on her Spectrum.

I still like flashing the others just to see if the Aspect Ratio Correction gets fixed.
It might have something to do with the kernel.

Well thanks for this much and all you have done for Icy Fusion....

Edit:
I just noticed this has the same name as the ICY-FUSION-V5.0 from 11/25/2012...
It's come a long way.... I'll just delete the older one. Shows 31 min till done.

has version 5.0 been booting up fine for anyone running this? i moved on to jb

Yes, 5.0 is doing great for me..

My wife loves it on hers too.

I just ordered the Tab 2 7.0" from BestBuy since I only use the Spectrum for a WiFi toy.
My 53 year old eyes need a bigger screen.

I will still monitor these ROMs for adition of the Aspect Ratio Correction application or setting.

If I had more time I would put my old tower to work building ROMs like I did with WinMo.

Thanks again for your help.

Hey everybody... let me first say that I love this ROM I haven't had a reboot Or freeze yet and I'm going on two week of having it flashed so special thanks to all involved with the creating of this ROM... by far my favorite ever. But i haven't tried a whole lot...BUT - Anyways I have a few important questions.. help would be GREATLY appreciated! First one is that i cave get my wifi tether to work... the log says it started with errors "Failed to set up adhoc mode" ivd tried numerous trthrring apps like Barnacle, open garden, JB tether, WiFi tether for root users by lemons.. they all say the same thing. It's especially frustrating bc that's much of the treason why i rooted...it worked on the pacman ROM (personally didn't work very well for me although the built in features are nice) but no problems with tethering..would flashing a new kernel work?? if so what is a good, stable solid one for my LG Spectrum..and what kernel does this icyfusion come with? Its INCREDIBLY reliable (m assuming that i can thank the kernel for that ) but i really need one that isn't going to beglitchy...and i really need this tethering to work im going nuts over here. Thanks for all the help in advance! My knowledge of the whole concept of kernels and their compatibility is almost nothing. Please help!! Inbox messaging would be easier but either way would be greatly appreciatd, Thanks! sorry for any typos this is a pain on my phone

You could try a different ICS based ROM with or triggers ICS kernel, or take a look at tdms aokp41 ROM its really smooth good battery and tether works well on it well it did for me at least I'll give you links later of you can't find them, not sure why tethering isn't working on this ROM I might release a new update but we'll see

Right on, this ROM is awesome tho, I'm honestly afraid to wipe and everything and get a glitchy ROM again - you did an excellent job in my opinion this is the only ROM even out of the GB that had been this reliable or even comparable.. I'm going across the country to visit my son and his mother in AZ but she doesn't have internet yet so I'd like to find some solution before or at least soon after i get there on the 14th...do i need to wipe before a kernel flash? And would that kernel u recommended possibly be able to fix the WiFi and work well with this rom? Thanks for the patience with my noobness when it comes to kernels!

But yeah DL links for ur recommendations would be very nice I'm having a hard time finding them on my phone (only Internet source til tethering works again) :/

I mean you could go back to GB if you wanted to because I also think it was the most stable ROM here is the link to the best GB ROM that ran well for me here
