Root [ROM] MidnightRom: Sense 1.5.4

I haven't had much issues with this update!! kudos, however I love the JB Browser, but where is the "Home" button in the grey menu options? It's missing now, and unless I'm not seeing it that's the only thing that sucks about the browser. I've also lost my gps signal more often now, but I'm sure that's just the shitty signal. For anyone near the IE what radio works best for you? Thanks!
 
does anybody know why i could be getting artifacts in my games while using a custom rom (even in midnight rom)? It is doing it to me mostly in NOVA 3 and Modern Combat 3. there's gotta be some kind of tweak that is causing them.
 
Can anyone help me out? Been tryin to flash this rom for some time now and it wont flash, only goes halfway and stops. Evo 4g, amon ra 2.3, s-on, md5 ok and card is partitioned.

Evo v right? If so you will need to go s-off or use 4ext to flash with smart flash. Both ways work.

FYI - you might want to wait for the new version. I have a feeling It's going to be great.
 
New update is up. Sorry for the extremely long delay. I've been stupid busy lately.

I'm sticking with kernel version 3.4.3 because it's just easier for people to choose their own oc with it.


-Removed some postboot scripts
-Fixed Google Maps
-Removed NoFrills cpu (use kernel tuner)
-Updated kernel tuner to 2.3.1
-Added HTC Message Widget (request)


(I'll answer questions and stuff tomorrow)

Im scared to ask this, but do you think you would ever be willing to add the friendstream app and widget back into your build?
I used it alot, but whenever Ive searched how to pull it outa one rom and backit up into another its unsuccessful. :(
 
Why not update kernel tuner to 2.3.2? If you try miscellaneous tweaks, it's force closing still. I uploaded the latest one a few days ago.
 
Okay, here's a crazy one for you... Tried this version of MNR and the last one, both kept having the same problem that I troubled shot to a specific issue... As soon as I adjust the settings in the weather app, it says: Unfortunately, Weather has stopped.

When I load the widget, it completely crashes sense... But this only happens after I adjust the settings... So I did a reset and tried only one setting that I really want, the sound, and still the same thing.

So any suggestions would be great because I love this ROM otherwise!

There's your problem. That setting is the one that is causing the crashings. I experienced the same thing until I figured that out. There's no big loss not having sound anyway.
