Root [ROM] MidnightRom: Sense 1.5.4

Hey all. Sorry for not being on here for a while. Life has been crazy.

It seems you all have it handled on the questions though ^_^


I'm working on a small update for MNR. It basically just has app updates.

BUT

I'm working on a senseless version.

Basically:MNR - Best Performance
MNR senseless - Best Battery Life


Whatcha think?
 
Count me in on the senseless rom. I am a minimalist and would love to have a complete working rom without all the extras. I was hoping JMZ's CM10 was the answer but so far its still pretty buggy.

If you're looking for an ultra light, fast, senseless ROM with max battery life, go try it out!

The performance is a lot better then the sense version imo. Even though battery life mods have been switched on (wifi, speeds, etc), a lot of the large memory hogging apps have been removed, and the launcher replaced with Nova.

The boot times are speedier, apps and windows switch a lot faster, its more responsive, the battery life is TONS better, and it just....FEELS lighter.


Go try it out and tell me what you think! ^_^

I think I just might :p I've been running Midnight since day 1 and its been an awesome ride so far
 
I'm loving the new senseless rom, it's giving me MUCH better battery life and still nice and responsive. I don't like the sense stuff anyways so it's perfect for me. Keep the work up, love it!!

Meant to hit "like" instead of "thanks" but whatever lol this is exactly how I feel, tried out senseless and its great just like Midnight but I actually enjoy sense, this is my first HTC phone so I'm not sick of it yet :D
 
I just updated to the newest version of Midnight and I can't take a 3D picture without the camera force closing. I can take 3d videos just fine. Anyone else having this problem?
 
Ya same problem here. quite annoying really but i have a post titled "small problem with 3d camera". the guys here said to either revert to midnightrom 1.3.2 or anthrax version 3.4.6 or 3.6 . problem here is im trying to get the newest kernel version and i guess im not approved on the forums to go to the download page for the newest kernel. cuz Subzer0 said kernel 3.6 works with 3d just fine. Well whenever i get to download it i will post on if it worked for me or not. also its been all day just about and im still not approved. even tho they said something about every 15 minutes the automatic approval things kicks in but no luck. ill probably just stick to mrom 1.3.3 just because of of the xondemand governor and wait until someone updates the rom or untill i can find a fix.

rom will prob be updated soon... xthedakmanx is usually good with updates...as for anthrax... just make sure you introduced yourself in the forums and you should get approval soon...
 
Thanks a bunch dak u da man XD haha. anyways sorry to bother again but theres quite a few versions there. the ones ive heard work with the 3d camera are the 3.4.6, the test version, "and the 3.6 which isnt on that page u provided" which one do i use?

MD5:" i think he meant hes releasing a new version october 19th which is tomorrow of midnight rom with the kernel already included so im just waiting for that update maybe you should/could also wait. id rather not risk flashing a kernel wrong since i bricked my first evo V's radio not knowing what to do was quite funny lol. cuz ive never bricked a phone before.
 
I bricked my first Intercept like 4 times the first week that I owned it, fortunately not perma bricked. Just jumped on the forum and got everything worked out. :eek:
 
Anyone else having trouble getting the applied settings in Kernel Tuner to stick? I want to max out both cores to 1.5 and have performance selected for the governor, yet every time I reset it reverts back. I'm getting almost 3900 Quad with everything maxed out and would like to try to leave it that way. Thanks for the help!

Are you applying/saving the settings after choosing them? You actually have to push a button to make them stick.
