Root [ROM] MidnightRom: Sense 1.5.4

Ok, I found the 2.3.2 apk file and downloaded it to my pc, how do I install it to my phone. I dont think Ive ever installed a apk file before?? Do I have to delete kernal tuner then, the one that is now installed?? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Copy the APK to your sd card and open it with a file manager. You may need to turn in unknown sources but it will prompt you if it is off .

Yeah I'm sure there's other browsers but I like htc's browser since It resizes text on the fly and it has never given me too many problems. I tried chrome but it also didn't have the homepage button, so what's boggling my mind is that no one else is complaining or even mentioning this to xthedakmanx... If anybody finds a solution to this let me know. I know i'm bitching about something stupid but I find opening and closing tabs constantly annoying.
I hope my rants can get his attention but in a positive way. Props to him overall though he's doing a damn good job with all this.

(Oh and project butter, any thoughts on that? hmm)

What do you mean by did a fresh build? And did you upgrade Kernel Tuner manually?

Where is that option? I see a "restore settings after reboot" in S2W, but it's not working for me.

I went into kernal tuner and at the top, clicked on settings, then I clicked on restore settings after boot, before that I clicked on misc settings, and turned on s2w and applied it. But when I do a reboot, it turns the s2w off?? Any ideas??
 
I flashed the newest version of the Rom yesterday I am s-on so I did flash the boot IMG but currently I cannot send text messages or make phone calls at all or receive them but my 3g works perfectly fine its actually faster ...I tried battery pull restoring an old back up still didn't even work ......any ideas on what may be the problems?
 
Any suggestions on how to get the sound effects for the weather working? Whenever they are checked the weather force closes. I tried porting from the stock Rom but this didn't fix it. Thanks.
 
Does anybody know why I can't overclock my cpu past 1.72 GHz even though I have JMZ EVO V Kernel installed, and it supports up to 1.94 GHz. When I set it to performance mode with 1.94 GHz in kernel tuner it shows that the current clock is 1.728 GHz.

Time to go s-off and see if you can redo everything?

It finally made me go s off which was hella easy idk why I was so scared it didn't even wipe my back up sd card ..and I did the evo 3d fix everything process and it didn't fix it but I kind of fell assbackwards into fixing it don't quote me but I typed in the dialer ##3464#or what ever to do the prl update and I got a flood of text messages and missed calls right after I did it lol and its all fixed and works perfectly great Rom
 
I'm having problems with wifi. Its stuck at "turning wifi on"

When I first installed the rom, wifi worked fine. I connected to my router. I then proceeded to add my google account, and the phone froze, and I had to pull the battery. Rebooted, and now its says turning wifi on and eventually an error.

I tried reloading the boot.img and no fix. Re flashed kernel no fix. I also re-flashed the rom and no fix. Actually reflashed a different rom, and then back to this rom, and no fix.

Here are the specs. Running midnightrom1312

Crap, I just realized this is an evo v 4g forum, Ive got a evo 3d. Can anyone help? Is this an incompatible rom?

Or do I have a hardware issue?
 
So far I've had no other issues with the ROM or installing apps. from market or sdcard.
Now just tried installing handcent sms. Installation went through just fine but every time I try to open the app it just hangs and then I'm back to my launcher.

9/30 build

Any ideas?
