Root [ROM] MidnightRom: Sense 1.5.4

Is there any way that you could include the stock UI into this ROM, specifically the battery icon? I'm not saying you have to upload a whole new ROM, you could just edit the system ui and framework res. Thanks man, I really like the idea of this ROM but I don't like the battery icon.
 
I formatted system/data/cache and flashed this ROM.

Wifi says "Error" when I try to turn it on.

That kernel people talk about (anthrax) requires insane registration and I'm guessing I won't be approved for a few days... any fix in the meantime or go back to harmonia?

You have S-ON don't you?

If you have the 4ext program, be sure to enable the s-on smartflash mode. If not, then check the op on what to do ^_^

It's because it is a different kernel.

This rom used to run on anthrax kernel, which, sometimes, had a lot of random reboots, lockups, etc.

I changed it to run on a totally different kernel, MAC kernel, which, so far, has not had any reboots or issues whatsoever.

If you absolutely want to, you COULD just flash over a different kernel.

It wouldn't display in 3d mode, but I think it's probably an error on my end. Been having rebooting issues as of late so i'm pretty sure it's something I screwed up. Regardless, works now! Keep up the great work!

Edit: it could take pictures too, but the top half would be almost solid green in the gallery
 
honestly, i believe this is THE best rom i've ever had next to harmonia but that kept restarting the crap out of my phone and it just erked the hell out of my soul -_- and the swipe feature on it kept messing up too. ughh never again

Have you tried the latest version? I've been running it like mad for days (phone calls, mine craft, lots of ftp wifi file transfers, a few hour long navigation issues, etc etc) and haven't had one issue whatever ^_^

Okay i'm really screwed now. I have flashed the stock ruu but it still won't activate from phone or connect to anything. Data or calls or texts don't work anymore. I called vm and some indian guy said he reset my data service but nothing worked.
 
I see a new version incomming, and I was about to report a bug in 1.43... its a small one but... in the weather view (when you click the weather on the clock) and you get the weather screen with anims... if you turn on sound effects, it crashes

Hm....if you're rooted, download an app in the store called msl reader and get your msl code. then go into phone and put in "##786#", hit menu at the top right, reset, then put in ur msl code. itll reset the activation and whatnot.

Then just reboot, and reactivate!

just when I got 1.4.3 the way I liked it. Do many of you use Titanium Backup to restore system settings? I find i have troubles often when I do that, but man would it save some time between flashes. Say especially for instance here going from 1.4.3 to 1.4.4?

You don't have to fully wipe with EVERY update ^_^ Just wipe system, boot, cache, and dalvik. Then you don't have to redo your settings everytime ^_^


And yeah, I know what you mean with backing up settings >.<
 
I always use titanium back up i just back up the apps not the system data and i have no problems i love how he updates alot tho just makes it better and better :D

How has the mac kernel affected performance/battery life, and what governor would you use to favor battery life while still having a bit of snap?

To me, it's better. Actually... everything is better! (Although, it may be because of all the tweaks I've been doing to it....and I MAAAAY be a little bias :P lol)

I know its silly, but I like the sound effects lol, trying the lite version with Beautiful Widgets running now.. so far so good
 
My Google search is broken now, I'm assuming because I didn't wipe data? Quickest fix?

Nvm, just installed velvet.apk from rom zip and it cleared everything up
