Root [ROM] MidnightRom: Sense 1.5.4

I have a quick question. Is there a way to save all my settings and preferences (the apps thats on my homescreens, system settings, stuff like that. Just wondering if there would be a quick way to load my preferences after a factory reset. Would Titaminum Backup do anything like that or in settings, would profiles do it?? I don't mess with profiles because I really don't know what it does.
Any help and feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Confirmed. I have NO idea why...maybe it was a new appstore update that's causing issues?

I hate debugging.
The last release that Amazon AppStore worked on was 1.4.3.
Looking at the changelog, I figured it had to be one of 3 things: the new Adreno libs, the services.jar edits, or the framework.jar edits.
Checking a logcat for the crash, there were multiple errors.
The one that stood out the most to begin with had to do with an aborted texture drawing attempt.
This error was not just for the appstore, however. It shows multiple times in the logcat, for multiple programs including the launcher.
Changing the Adreno libs out to the ones included in 1.4.3 fixed that.
AppStore continued to crash. Errors in android.app.activitythread.main.
I have no idea what that means, I'm not a programmer. I changed out the services.jar for the one included in 1.4.3 and the AppStore is stable as ever.
Long story short: somewhere a services.jar edit causes the AppStore to crash. I have no idea if this was the V6 SuperCharger edits, the logging service edits, or the Google Now edits.
Quick fix: revert to regular Google search (there is a flashable zip in the Google Now for ICS thread) and push the services.jar from 1.4.3 to the phone via ADB.

EDIT: If you want the original Adreno libs, I attached a flashable zip. This will fix the 'surfacetexture' errors. No idea how these errors affect stability of the phone but I prefer to stay on the safe side.

I was on midnight's rom (1.3.9) a few days ago and no problems with it, the voicemail app worked perfectly.. I decided to try g 60's HTCCM10. With this rom, I had no voicemail notification (app). I posted on the htccm10 thread and was suggested I go to this link ("get vvm working for aosp ect") to download a voicemail file to see if it works. It did not work. There also was a voicemail file to remove the other installed voicemail file. I downloaded that and restored midnight's 1.3.9 rom, then I downloaded the newest version of midnight at the time (1.4.4). I cleared the caches and installed the newest version. Now, on the newest version, the voicemail notification is not working. I am getting that irritating text message I got on cm10 that says that I have a message, call #### number. I do have the voicemail app (the same one I had when I was on 1.3.9 and worked perfectly), but for some reason it does not notify me in the status bar and when I press the voicemail app, the message is not there. I have to dial my number to retrieve the message. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to get my voicemail app working properly again?? Did I screw something up when I installed that voicemail file when I was on cm10?? Please help.

Hm....I'm pretty sure it's the service's edit then. I'll check it out.

Thank you very much for helping out on that issue btw ^_^

*edit*

Fixed the issue. Uploading new versions. Itll be up by tomorrow

Dangg you have everything on lock man i really like how you do everything you can to get a perfect rom out to us thanks.

*wonders if the sound effects in the weather app are fixed :>)*

lol nope not yet.. now to figure out how to change the setting somehow, it doesnt stay running long enough to get to settings

Wow! Talk about improvements! I wasn't sure what everyone was talking about as far as things being faster when it came to the home screen and swyping around. Then I noticed that when I clicked an app in the launcher, it launched instantaneously. All of them. This is great, thanks for the updates!

In Settings > Apps, find the Weather app and clear data. Worked for me. I also cleared data for Weather Provider and Weather Widget although I think just clearing for Weather would have been fine.

i am extraordinarily frustrated now. lol I have install 1.45, 1.46, & 1.47
I cant turn on wifi or 4g. everything else seems to be okay. when i flash back to the stock rom i have no problems. i have wiped delvik, wiped cache, fixed permissions, reflashed with different downloads to be sure the rom didnt get corrupted.
I'm at the end of my rope with this. any thoughts? thanks.:(

have you wiped system, boot, and data? full wipe is usually a cure-all.

This is definitely because you are S-ON. Please check the OP, or flash using 4ext on Smartflash mode ^_^

Your going to start adding 1 thing per update now?

Nope :P Actually, next update will probably be it for a while lol. I have all the bugs worked out, and it's as fast as I think I can get it (for now)
