Root [ROM] MidnightRom: Sense 1.5.4

I'm on Stock ODEX with S-on-- I'd like to switch to this rom do I need to flash the rom before applying the firmware update from Sprint or do I place the zip file update in the root of sd card first before flashing midnight rom? Sorry for my ignorance this is all new to me (coming from a former Triumph owner)

If you're S-on, nothing will happen. I tried it.

I've notice two Calender app in the app drawer with the latest version of Midnight Rom, one red and one blue, which one should I get rid of and how? :P

I've seen how often you update this Rom and its why I chose it. I also know that you have beats audio on it. But the beats audio in this Rom only activates when listening to music through music player, and has no settings that I can find. There's another Rom (I think monster) that has settings for it in the settings page, the place that also has settings for WiFi, display, etc. And can work with any audio source like Pandora or FM radio. Is there any way you could put that version of beats into this Rom?

Also I've seen "save power" in the quick settings pull down but don't see anywhere to configure it. There's another Rom that lets you, but it might also have been monster, is there a way to on this one?

One is the default that comes with the phone, and the other is google calender. Just preference ^_^

I'll look into that ^_^

Hey guys I tried flashing the boot.img after flashing this ROM zip like said in instructions for S-On. System restarted and I went and checked the kernel. Still say 3.0.16-g4211684
htc-kernel@u18000-build-144#1.........

What gives? :(

Try the latest version. I made a change so the newest kernel sticks for S-ON users

I'm currently on version 1.4.6. I could not figure out out to get the caller to show up on the lock screen. I had to yet again do a full wipe and install everything again for the second time in two days. This is very time consuming and frustrating. I am noticing another issue now that I never had before, now, overnight when my phone sleeps, wifi does not come back on automactically like it did before. I try to connect it manually and nothing happens. When I do a reboot, it then automactically connects. How can I get wifi to automactically connect without having to reboot everytime? Please don't say a full wipe, I've done this 2 times already in the last couple days and its getting old and frustating. Anyone have any suggestions without doing a full wipe. Also, when I was in leodroid tweaks, a window popped up requesting access, I accidentally denied access to the interactive shell. I would like to make one more change in it but everytime I do, its now saying access denied for interactive shell. How can I grant it access again? I have opened and closed this app like 50 times hoping this window would pop back up but its not. I tried hitting the menu button hoping to find a settings option, like there is on other apps, but could not find any??? Please, any help

Long pressing any item (well most) in the Quick Settings brings up it's settings page. While the Power Saver settings aren't found anywhere standard, they can still be reached though this action.

This is by far the BEST rom I have ever used on any device. I flashed it on my Sprint Evo 3d today, and MAN.. i'm speechless. I've probably flashed 20 roms on my old Evo 4g, and none of them compare to this. This is my first rom for my Evo 3d and i'll probably never change it.

One thing I noticed.. The home row buttons. The LED's under them seem dimmer then before. It's not a bad thing, it's actually probably better so they don't hurt anyones eyes. but I do remember them being brighter. how in the heck did you change that !?! is there any way while operating the ROM to change the brightness myself? the only reason i'm asking is because on my old evo I soldered some surface mount LED's that were different colors (Red, Yellow, Green, Blue) to match my wallpaper. I want to do that same mod on my new Evo 3d, but I feel like it wouldn't be as impressive since the LED's are dimmer than they were before. Is there any way to change that?

(Just FYI, because of this ROM i decided to make an account and I love the forum. I'll definitely be returning more often.)

You can edit the led brightness using the kernel app

I got the mac kernal to install when I just flash the ROM zip and skip the boot.img flash after. This way works for me even though I'm S-on. My hboot version is 1.57. Flashing boot.img after ROM zip install just return my kernel to the HTC one or cause my phone to just hang at the boot up screen.

Wierd but that's how it works for my phone.

To xthedakmanx,

I only want to keep one calendar app. Two seems redundant. But when I go to the app, there's only option to disable it. How do i uninstall it? Thankx!

I've been experiencing strange, random power off (sometimes reboot, but mostly power off) times across the last few versions. When I flashed 1.4.8 I did a full wipe of everything, so I started fresh, and just today I had another instance where I went to check my phone and it was off. It starts right back up again, but that's sketchy considering I use this as my alarm for work lol. I looked a bit into trying to get a logcat, but from what I saw that won't catch reboot/power off issues for the most part, correct? I wanted to try and diagnose it but i'm outside my realm of knowledge at this point. Any clues that may help? S-off, 1.04 ENG hboot, midnightrom 1.4.8. Also when I do restart the phone, it wipes my kernel tuner data...

Does anyone know if its possible to change the lockscreen icons

Shortcuts or the icons themselves? Shortcuts can be done in Leedroid tweaks, icons I would assume would be whatever icon pack your system is using at the time, but maybe i'm wrong.

They are the 4 apps that you put on the home screen dock, drag what you don't want off and drop what you want onto the dock on your home screen.

The 4 i got on my dock is phone music messages and browser and my lockscreen ones are the ones that came when i got the phone they never change
