I believe he has mods in the posts after the first one including a bunch of metamorph mods. Most of those are listed as compatible with 4.5.

I use SA in Setcpu on mine and my wife's phone with great success. The problem as I understand it is that you can't use profiles with the SA governor. You just set the min and max cpu(don't go higher than 1152 or 1190) and don't check set on boot until you know it works with your phone. Select SA governor and you are all set.
 
Anybody playing with the odexed 4.6 yet? I flashed it to see what it's all about, just seems to be a stock but fast ROM. There isn't really anything on XDA about optimizations that I can read about?

I think the point is, Mik wanted to create a "stock" ROM with his normal optimizations, but in both odexed and deodexed versions, then have a series of flashable mods for theming so you can make it look however you want. The idea is to have as many flashable mods for the odexed version as possible. It's sort of limited, as you need a deodexed ROM for certain things, but odexed is better, as it's faster. So, likely, the 4.6 odexed ROM will have the normal optimizations, plus be a little faster just due to the fact that it's odexed.
 
i hate to ask a question that has already been asked but i haven't found a answer yet. I flashed this rom (4.5) on my fully flashed cricket evo. LOVE the rom other then any time i get a wifi connection (and a few random times as well) i get the sprint error code 67 registration failure. Your PCS Vision user name and password may be incorrect. Please try again. Driving me nuts and i thought it was the phone however i flashed another rom (just like this one the most) and never got the error. Please help and if I have just missed it somewhere I am very sorry. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help

Try menu/settings/wireless & networks see if mobile network is checked and connected.

Anyone herd any news on the MikFroYo v4.6 official release date yet?

Yeah it is. Don't really understand it. Tried redoing and even adding APNs with none working. Just dont get it.

Pay your phone bill...thats where the pcs vision error originates a lot actually. Happened to me once, i was past due, made a payment, went away within 15 minutes.
 
Have Hulu listed and got signed in. Tapped on hourglass and gives me this message:
"Unfortunately Hulu is not supported on your platform. We're sorry, blah blah."

Need further insight on Sprint Zone:

  • Want to get Sprint Zone back because they don't charge for minutes when you call via their *2 line (vs. the 888 line)
  • Tried using Terminal Emulator but it force closes at open. Uninstall.
  • Used ES Explorer and Astro to try and move the file to the /system/app folder. It kept telling me couldn't be installed.
  • Now all of a sudden it shows in app drawer, makes me think I'm good.
  • Tried calling and call still fails.

Speed dial should work fine. It's *2 that won't work. What exactly is happening? If you want sprint zone back, you'll need to push it to /system/app. Do you have adb set up? If not, you *should* be able to just copy it there. Do you have root explorer? That's the easiest way.

I would like to do this as well, but I'm not quite sure how to. I downloaded root explorer and I'm not sure what to do next. I love this ROM but I don't really like the lockscreen.

once you open root explorer, go to /system/app and then you should see HtcLockScreen.apk there. that is the one you need to rename to mayne HtcLockScreen.apk.03302011 so if you decided to go back to stock you can rename it again to apk.

Dumb question but was is meant by • Removed Gps and ADB icons from TaskBar? I like the GPS icon if it is what I think it is. Thanks.

you are correct that is the icon appearing on the taskbar, previously it's always on the taskbar whether GPS is on or off (on without slash and off with slash)
