Root [ROM] - [MikRoms] - [11/23/2011] - MikG v2.61 - Re-Engineered GB Sense 2.1 + 3.0

worked well today, 73% left on stock battery. didn't overwork it or anything, just some email and maps and navigation.

do wonder what the chainfire app is doing in there, don't know if supercharger helped or hurt. nice and quick and stable though!

yep, you are right on there. I went ahead and did and it worked this time. I had an occasion in a rom where I couldn't get it to work,

Got Night Mode again!

I just installed 2.61 with no hiccups. I have been using 2.5X (something a lot older from 2 months ago or so?) and I really like the updates. Overall, its an incredible ROM -- I always trust MikG.

I did find one bug though. Even though my "vibrate on soft touch... etc." checkbox is unchecked, the phone still vibrates when I type on the onscreen keyboard.

Any idea how to turn this off?

EDIT:
I'm using the More-Freedom kernel.

what keyboard are you using. go to settings/keyboard/and input settings/uncheck vibrate

I'm using the standard keyboard that comes with the ROM for SMS, Gtalk, etc.

I found something under TalkBack keyboard settings, but since I'm not using the TalkBack Keyboard, it didn't change anything.

I initially thought the correct setting would be to uncheck Settings > Sound > Vibrate Feedback, but that didn't help.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Also, under Settings I don't have Keyboard and Input as an option.

EDIT 2: FOUND IT at Settings --> Language & keyboard --> Touch Input --> Text input --> Vibrate when Typing

I have MikG 2.59 on my Evo and was wondering if I should just do a clean install of 2.61 or can/should I do an upgrade from 2.59->2.60 then a 2.60->2.61?

Anyone running on v3 beta? On MikMik he said it is 100% stable like 2.61, but is beta because they are adding more tweaks. I wonder if I should try v3 instead of 2.61.

I have tried it and I like it. have a nan of it set up here somewhere... :p

Seemed to use battery more than I wanted. I think I had it set up to sync everything though. I got off into ics for a while.

Been running 3 since it came out. Snapier than 2.61 and the battery is great after calibrating. The tweaks are cool Its my daily now.
