Yup mms works like a charm. Now we just gotta figure out how to get the device settings to work. (I think they get borked from updating to 5-14 from the older version 4-12) but that's just a guess cause I had to flash over just to get the newer version to boot without a boot loop or frozen boot screen.
 
New news, I now have service back with metro :D no need for anymore MMS testers, shout out to everyone that helped tested any of the ports for MMS. Your testing and feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you all!
 
OK new update (fixed it to boot this time :D)
please read, new install method now:
1)Boot into recovery,
2)erase/wipe/format everything except sd-card
3)install the new MIUI below
4)Now install gapps (download here if you don't already have it from before from any ROM)
5)Use ES FILE EXPLORER app (I already put it in the ROM) to make a new folder in /data/system called "theme" without quotes (this fixes themes)

Download (read instructions please! I will not answer you for not following directions)

About VMROMS app: it is an app for this website: vmroms.com
It has ROMs and stuff about Virgin Mobile phones.
Only reason it is in here is because it came with the original ROM that I ported from.
 
i got a problem transferring apps to SD card. says not enough space even though i have 7 gigs free. anybody seen the same or just me. (5/30)
 
Is the issue with the app not installed error fixed? i remember i was having the same problem with the other version. Also, all we have to do is just flash once the 05302012 version this time?

No and yes.
App not installed happens a lot due to it being MIUI, sorry, there's no fix until someone finds a patch.

Yes just flash once :D but read the OP (I'm now OP) you have to fix themes manually.
 
could we please please please have dsp added into this rom its like my fav app in the world combined with power amp i love the optimus m for music its what i use my phone for 99% of the time
 
Couldn't get a stable install of this ROM maybe cause the firmware is 2.2.2 and the kernel that gets installed is 2.2.1...idk.
It locks up after a lag attack and fast reboots ( no bootloop though )

Which custom recovery are you using?
CWM is the best to use with it.
 
Can it be installed through ROM Manager or thru terminal? I'm using the GNM something one...which fails to properly restore nandroid backup...how does the recovery effect the install of the rom?
