Awe yeah, he's awesome isn't he? He invited me on the team knowing I don't known a ton. And after that, helped set me up with the new system and sent me some parts too.

Are any of you that are having problems with the WiFi toggle on the power control widget using Titanium Backup or another backup tool (if there is one)? I was using Titanium to backup and restore my app and system settings and didn't have any problems until this ROM. I tried to adjust my screen brightness with the widget and nothing would happen so I went into the display settings, checked Auto-brightness, chose OK, but it didn't take. I opened it again several times and saved but it was always unchecked. Then the widget wouldn't work at all for brightness.

Lesson learned as now I just backup my apps and do the system tweaks manually after a flash. You may want to try that if you're using backup software.

Yea, alotta times there doesn't seem to be issues, but its generally suggested and a good practice to not restore anything system related, you'll sometime end up getting what I call the "settings headbutt effect" and when that happens to system files you can have all kinds of crazy things happen

Yeah I will be revamping the site at some point and removing word press. Want to change it up a bit and keep it a little more Dev driven with info on how to build, how to get into development and all that. The more people that get involved will help us get further in the development. I don't know everything that's for sure, but having a group with multiple heads we can figure anything out, that much I do know!!!

I have had boxes/settings checked and then come back to find them unchecked again. I have found that after checking a box, restart your phone for them to stay checked.

I am having this problem as well. camera shutter mute is one and background data are commonly unchecked after checking them, requiring reboot to fix background data but, nothing fixes camera mute.

g60, I know that you're busy, but after this build can you guys at MTDEV give some of us test releases? It would help if select users were allowed to test, as you stated was a plan. We're not a professional company here, but I will help when I can. We do not want to see the forums explode again after multiple issues are found in a new build. Take some work off your shoulders, brother! It will help you as well! I can deal with issues, and will report them as I did in the past. I'm sure others would be happy to help as well. Together, you guys can code, internally polish, give us to test it, and then push to the public. Thanks for your understanding. I know you are swamped.

I noticed that you didn't include tun.ko in any of your roms. I ended up pulling the module out of an old Ticker rom and VPN is working fine now. You might want to add it to your next release.

Thanks for the tip. I don't use any tunneling so I can't test it, but I can push it up so out will be included in the next build.

Hey G60 don't know if it will help at all but I just got a 2.6 quad core Macbook Pro. I have zero coding experience, but am willing to help where I can. I will be starting school here shortly for mobile development.

I'm off to college myself soon. I have to take all these annoying basic computing classes first, but as soon as I get coding down in Java and C, I'm sure I will be able to assist one day.

Checkout HTTP://MTDEV.us under the build section. Since you have an Intel apple you can install Ubuntu. Its possible to build with OSX but its 100 times easier to setup Ubuntu. That's a good starting point :D

I just started learning Java as well. I'm learning on my own though because my school dropped the class due to budget cuts .

I love that these ROMs are open source, it's good for those of us who are learning.

Also I was wondering about the screen flicker problem, do you guys know what's causing it etc.? It seems like all Gingerbread ROMs for the triumph have that problem(I haven't checked out Minimal Triumph 2.0 or Gingerbread 2.3.4 though do they screen flicker issues too?). Also I haven't had a chance to flash CM9 but screen flicker isn't listed as a bug there so I'm guessing it doesn't occur in CM9? I know it's a very minor problem but it can get frustrating at times.

Thanks for your hard work MTDEV and I love how organized everything is in your repos its very beneficial to beginners.

Your very welcome :-) yeah we might have a beat on flicker. Chairshot has been working on some new stuff for 7. Hoping to get it out soon but still having some problems with the code. I'll be cranking on the kernel tonight and see if I can't fix some stuff.

I am still not able to change the buttons in the notification power widget.

The way I had to do it was

1. Choose the ones you want
2. Reboot phone
3. After reboot goto widget order and it should only show the ones you selected before reboot so you can now arrange the order

That's how I got.mine to stick anyway lol

I'm about to have the same build up with the VPN library added back in. Could those who have access to VPN test this for us and report back if it works?

EDIT: Here it is, as promised I didn't make any changes from what was done before. All I did was added in the tun.ko that was mentioned by user442. I did switch branches and if there were any changes from where I made my last change to the 8-19 build, then they won't be in there, but I think this was the branch I was running on when I merged in the last change.
Anyway, this is to test the VPN capabillity of the code more than anything before we add it in to the main line.

Hi guys,

A quick thank you for all your hard work with the various ROMs you all create and all the help you dole out to us noobs (hence this question).

I have been having a camera issue for a while now with various ROMs, with this one being the latest. When I install I wipe all (factory reset in CW and Dalvik cache wipe). The installs go fine, but the camera problems persist. I have tried cm-9.0.0.Triumph-Alpha-0.6.16.1.zip, update-cm-9.0.0.Triumph-Alpha-0.6.12.0-signed.zip, CM7-TG-Reloaded-2012-03-25.zip, and MTDEV-CM7-20120819.zip. I realized after cm9 installs that camera might be a problem so I went to cm7. About 90% of the time the camera launches but I usually get blank screen. Menu button generally yields force close or wait state. Home resets back to home. About 5% of time it I get the camera screen, but no images and everything is locked up. The last 5% it actually works and I can take pictures. I have tried to gauge whether full battery charge or partial charge has any effect (none noted). I have reformated SDcard without success. With full wipe I do not attempt to restore anything so the camera is the first thing I do after installing gapps. The only other thing I have to do is get to wifi before attempting to logon to google (for play store) since I live in a Sprint coverage hole.

Is it possible that somehow my camera hardware is hosed? I haven't read about this issue in the forums. Mostly the camera issues are front/back camera, clicking noises.

Sorry for long post, but my frustration is gettingthe best of me. Any help or suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks.
