Root [ROM] MTDEV-CM7 build 2013-03-03

Your welcome all I did was the audio fix, the rest was Chairshot and dsmryder! The three musketeers have rocked it!

Yeah, that middle one looks like me. Trying to drop in the pool, 'bout to bust my butt.

Hey i love you work and have used the cm7 version of your but i love miui is it worth the trade to this rom ? I just love miui

I haven't used MIUI in a long time but a lot of people have said they find this room faster, smoother, and less buggy.

If you love MIUI though, you should probably just use what makes you happy.

I just tried the new release of this Rom (20120819) and it seems to me the maximum headset volume is low (like it was before when a notification decreased the maximum volume of the music).

Did you do a full wipe and reload? I have not had any issues at all with the new ROM. I was text bombed 10 texts in like 2 minutes as I am in a Fantasy Football League. During that whole time I didn't loose the sound volume like before with 0810.

After I flashed this ROM I went into "Settings">"Sound" and adjusted the media volume. It was set very low. That fixed low volume while listening to internet radio with the Live365 app. Double check that setting.

The newest build is very smooth like it alot. Thanks G60,chairshot,and dsmryder.you guys rock. I've found an issue it doesn't bother me but I figured I'd tell you guys anyway while I'm in wifi settings the settings FC sometimes.thanks for this awesome rom guys.

Yeah I had my first FC in a very long time. I was turning off wifi and it freaked out. I will look into it.

Yes I did full wipe and reload, the maximum volume of the head set is low and it seems it is locked at low level with or without message notifications. We can still listen to the music but the maximum output is not as powerful as it should be.

Now that we have the audio fixed we can try and apply the old fix we had for audio that jarjar found. I will do some testing on it tonight if I don't crash out :D

NEW FEATURES
08/19/2012
∙ Removed libaudioeq.so was causing notification fade outs
∙ Fixed blank screen after other caller disconnects a call
∙ Disabled surface dithering, can be enabled in CM settings and increased dalvik vm heap-size for better performance
∙ Restored Tickerguys values with memory99 which helps with gaming
∙ Added fix to resolve flicker with hard buttons
∙ Added bootup sound script
blank screen on disconnect has been a pain. Looks good so far.

Disable surface dithering and increase dalvick VM heap size is something I always do, so that's a time saver for me.

Tickerguys memory99 interfered with "multitasking" so I didn't care for it, but that is easy enough to change back. (I rarely game on my phone)

Haven't experienced any button flicker.

I've noticed that GPS initial fix has gotten a little slower lately, but it's still faster... never more than 1:30. Mostly less than 15.

Thanks guys, looking good.

@dsmryder, if you like and use System Tuner, try it's sister app, Battery Monitor Widget. It is informative and System Tuner can use it's log files. Cedric is a very responsive dev, and pays attention to battery life.

salute!

OMG, why have I not seen this before. I literally can not explain how ecstatic I am about the awesomeness of System Tuner! For < 2MB of space it literally replaced half of the apps in the "tools" folder on my homescreen. :D

Yeah, I've had that for a while now. I have had what I would consider to be acceptable battery life, so sense Whyzor made some of his initial changes, I haven't messed with it for a while. I have been dragging around a handful of apps for diagnostic perposes.

As far as the button flicker goes. I think I understand what people mean. When I was looking at the screen for adjusting the backlights I saw the screen will hold for a while against the light sensor, but the buttons lights adjust instantly. What I mean is if you have enough light to have the screen at a brightness of 90 and you move your hand around (because you talk with your hands or something) the sensor will respond accordingly and the buttons will follow, but the screen will purposely delay to smooth out the responce. I wonder how hard it would be to replicate the smoothing code to also work for the buttons....

Anyone else having wifi issues with the 0819 build? wasn't having any with the previous build.

EDIT: Okay tried a reflash after a full wipe (wiped /system as well) and the wifi is still wonky. It says I am connected but wifi icon has trouble becoming green. I checked under advance settings in wifi and apparently my IP address is unavailable? Also, when I go into the market, some things load but not screenshots of apps, etc. I redownloaded the .zip thinking it might be a bad download but still the same. I tried another wifi connection and it does the same thing. 3G works fine though. I'll switch back to 0810 and see if the problem persists.

UPDATE: Flashed back to 0810 and wifi works correctly again.

I know, right?

:D
It's in the top 5 apps I've ever purchased.... And he keeps making it better.

I registered just to say "Thank You" for this build - working great so far.
The Triumph is my first Phone, so don;t really know what to expect, but having fun learning.

In the last few builds, i have been having a problem where when i turn off WiFi, after a while it turns itself back on. Seems to happen most where my 3g signal is weakest but it's pretty random overall.

EDIT: just to clarify, i don't use any automated tools to turn WiFi off. I always do it myself from the notification power widget.

I just want to start off by saying I enjoy everything this community is doing for this phone. I would not still be using it if it wasnt for the hard work of the geniuses here.

I AM NOT BLAMING THIS ROM.

i am a log time user of the roms on this forum and have had no ill effects to my phone until i used the 810 version of this one. I had previously TGReloaded and wiped everything and flashed the 810 and it worked fine for 2 days then boom phone will not respond to anything the power button wont turn it on, it wont show a red light when plugged in, the computer wont recognize it as anything . Thinking i had broken it somehow i used my insurance to get another one and i put on the new recovery and flashed the 810 version again and then 2 days later the same thing happens to this brand new phone. i have my new phone coming in the mail for free but i have to send them the dead one. I am not saying it was this rom that did this I am just wondering if anybody here might have any knowledge i dont about this.
Note:
phones get hot when charging like normal
there is no physical damage to the phones at all
i was using the simple instructions here to flash a new rom and recovery

Thank you for any help and if you want my old phone i might donate it to help dev these roms just ask
