Root [ROM] n_i_x's MIUI - "Complete UI Overhaul"

How is N_i_x's version compared to ID's? I've been kinda following the thread at xda, just haven't committed to trying it out yet. Seemed kinda like it was still in semi-infancy stage but definitely has my interest nonetheless.

its running as my daily ROM now - I replaced ID's v0.3 with it
 
Is the download for the new authors file in the first post here? Or should i get that on XDA?

Also i see here it says i have to flash a new radio. Is that still required?

I'm using bit.ly to track the number of downloads and to see which forums they are coming from. I also have a new download host which is faster and is a direct download. Soon I'll get this ROM added to ROM Manager :)

Also, the version I linked is 0.9.30.1 and is a newer build than the one you are linking to. I fixed the Carrier strings, installed a different kernel (Koush's stable from CM6), and updated a few libs. The ROM is a bit more stable than my 0.9.30 version.

Hope you all enjoy! And thanks for creating the thread here.. I'm having a hard time managing threads on all these different forums.
 
Thanks NIX for what you've done, i flashed your version after running ID 0.2 for a day and im liking the difference!

How is everyone elses battery life doing with this rom, is there a kernal you recommend as my battery life seems a bit worse, it drains much quicker when im using the phone, when the screen is off it seems like normal discharge time,

just curious
 
I was done with root and custom roms after the OEM Froyo came out but this one has peaked my interest :)

Waiting for the bugs to get squashed then I think this one is going on my DINC.
 
no emmc storage yet as its based of a phone that has non i think but im sure he will fix in time, camera works (5mp only i think), camcorder fc for some people (im one of them) when setting it to 720p

Its pretty darn stable tho, worth a flash without a doubt!

The camcorder fix is here:

MIUI_v0.9.30.1_DInc_Camera_Logcat_Fix_n_i_x.zip

It also fixes logcat so hopefully others can help with fixing some of the issues this ROM has.

New version of MIUI should be released on the 15th... might take me a little longer to port since they are updating the UI in Contacts.apk and MMS.apk. Not sure how long it will take for the translations.
 
When the new version comes out on the 15th and is released by NIX, and has 99% of the bugs squashed in one single downloadable installable ROM, this is so mine.

I have a serious appreciation for someone that would take that much time out of their life to do something like this for complete strangers. Rock on bro.

Nice! I abused the hell out of my battery today... 11h 25m 51s, 6 hours of which were while I was playing golf using GolfShot GPS and the screen on nearly the whole time. I'm using the stock kernel I ship 0.9.30.1 with and haven't updated to Koush's newer Test kernels.... I'm satisfied :)

Im about to flash right now, which kernal would you recomend?

I mean in your next version are you sticking with that stock kernal or will you be changing it? if so i might as well change it now if you already did research
