Yep I looked but it is not in my version.

Other thing - I am not S-ON. I should probably go about that first. Is there a painless way to do this or do I risk bricking my phone? Im not interested in installing Ubuntu just to get s-on, so I need to find a really simple and specific walk thru if possible.

? are you talking about getting s-off, correct? you do not have to use ubuntu. you just need to have it handy just in case. a live cd or usb should be fine.

Is anyone noticing random reboots in the middle of the night? (probably night.. Hence the middle of the night). But sometimes I can sleep. (most times). It's now 3am in jersey. And I have watched my Meanrom'd evo reboot twice now within a half hour? This couldn't be something that Mikey is doing maybe like maintenance idk? :confused: it never happens during normal hours. This is the second time I've caught it during the middle of the night though.
 
I used to love this ROM, but I've been using CM10 too much. I left off at MeanROM 3.1 and was on CM10 until a few days ago. I tried 4.1 and it just felt so big and clunky and laggy. Maybe it was always the same speed, but I've been spoiled by the smooth sleek awesomeness of CM10.

Welcome to the light ;)

Sense ROMs feel so slow to me now. I even have this thing under clocked down to 800mhz and its buttery smooth
 
I tried cm10 and I agree it was great but I had a few issues with it and came back. JB isn't quite ready for daily driving - at least for me. For one I take tons of pictures and the camera isn't far enough along yet for me. Second I was listening to music at work and a call came in and crashed the phone and I lost the call. I went ahead and backed it up and restored meanrom right then. I'll give them a little more time to work on it before I try it again. I find myself missing it too but it isn't ready yet.

The camera software isn't ever going to be on par with sense. That's the aosp camera.

I guess that pretty much rules out jb for me until there is an official update or at least a leak that can be ported to our phone then. I don't want to clutter up this thread too bad.

Meanrom is plenty for me now.
 
Maybe it's just in my head.. But is anyone noticing the battery on 4.2 is substantially better? I've been off the charger for a normal day of heavy use since 10a.m. And I'm currently at 48% battery life left
 
Never mind I found that MX player can give you those stats.

I did a quick vid test and the one with v4.2 was shot inside with window light and had a fps of 30 and bit rate of 6.9 Mbps

prior vids with the camera mod had a fps of 60 but a bit rate of 2.5Mbps.

over all looking at my videos both stats are all over the place but no frame rate under 29.997 (30).

I will stick with v4.2 for a while and see how it behaves before I flash the camera mod over it.
