Actually no, I haven't tried other kernels. I'm curious to know if their are differences between evo's... I have the white evo but maybe something minutely different...
 
No go on Enoch, the stock roms are the only ones that seem to fair. I'm comptemplating using a different ROM. See if it's an issue there. I've gone all the way to a clean slate yet no luck.
 
there should be no difference from what i know except that one is white and the other is not. i would try viper next. i just downloaded it. gonna give it a go shortly.

Have you tried other ROM/kernel combinations prior to this with any success?

It could very well be that you're just unlucky enough to have a chip that does not like to be overclocked at all. You're only guaranteed stock speeds, and if the tolerances line up wrong, that may be all you ever get.

yeah i just saw that pop up on my notification bar. gonna update it later tonight and then i swear i will flash viper 2.01.
 
This has been my daily for the past week. A combination of having no time to flash things and AOSP JB on the nexus 7 completely cured my flashaholism. :eek:
 
I haven't seen the loading screen at all. I love meanrom its amazing. I'm not even interested in any other roms. The battery life alone is just amazing

I imagine a clean wipe will probably fix my issue, too lazy right now though lol. Just a bit annoying, maybe wait until 4.7. Yeah this ROM is just killer.

The only time I tried was on meanrom and the new Viper ROM. Both times unsuccessful. I have no way of knowing if upgrading to 2.13 was the issue as I didn't try prior. I can accidently break my phone and make it a software issue get a new phone and try again lol.
 
I have the insurance because I'm accident prone... Had some idiot drop a 45lb plate on my last evo once... Went running and shattered one when the armband broke. Was slightly inhibrihated one night and decided to have a street cone fight... Phone broke. I don't have to intentionally break it and make it an accident its inevitable.
 
New in 4.7 (details in changelog in post 2):

New modified EvilZ 1.7 OC kernel: fixes issues + longer battery life!
Added maps/navigation to "no kill" process list
New modified Google Wallet 1.5-R81-v4 with "unsupported device" warning removed
Updated Google Play Music app
 
I'm having issues sending txts out on the latest ota. I'm receiving txts. But not getting them out. Just getting the hour glass. Hmm. Going to try nanding back and see If I still have the issue


Update: after nanding back to v4.6 everything is working fine. Idk if it was something wrong with 4.7 or just a bad download. I'll stick to 4.6 for the time being though :)

is this with 4.7? downloading now so i will know later on if that is the case with me or not.
 
Redoing 4.7 now. Will keep you guys posted.

Do you get force closes in the camera app? I find if I am messing with the different filters I go to press the shutter button and nothing happens. Followed with a FC or having to close it anyway bc I can't take a picture.


Update: No problems this time. Guess it was a fluke...
