Root [ROM] Number Two (#2) v3.0.1 {ZVE}

Fuzz, may i humbly suggest, before going the longer route, to wipe battery stats and over flash kernel n theme only.
Second, redownload ROM,
Third the longer solutions offered by others...it can't hurt, may save time.I'm not having ur problems. The only semi negative to report is that responsiveness a wee bit slower than 2.3....but even that likely should improve in a bit/could be remnant from previous ROM.

I just came back from new ROM....over installed 2.3, then upgraded to 2.4

The only other different things I did this time were to also wipe battery stats, and cleared out internal space (moved some backups to external).

Already done it all. ;)

Flashed over 2.2 and everything went back to normal. No need for any of the battery stats, wipe this or that, it just works. 2.2 has zero issues

2.3 has its obvious problems but it seems that 2.4 is worse. Idk

I don't have problems generally. And if i do, its minor stuff. So if i post up a real issue, it's because its real and not some noob error. Lol And it's only after I've gone through every possible step of trial and error to fix it.

I'm gonna play 2.2 and 2.4 when i get off work and see what's going on.

Thanks for your suggestions though ;)

I did not install a theme after flashing 2.4...

Did you ever alter something in a previous version using rom toolbox or something? Make sure yu delete all unneccessary files from both internal and external sd. then wipe data and reflash. should take care of it

The only thing I've changed there was change the pm sleep valve from 1 to 2

+3 lmao & mine says 2.4 also. & I did a regular CWM wipe of everything, & not having any issues after installing 2.4

I believe i used all three of these versions...didn't remember any significant issues, although it's all a haze by now.

One interesting detail-- sometimes after flashing i'll open titanium and it will immediately pop up a message about something damaged or corrupted with root?, will offer to fix it, and then it's off to the races.

I thought I was crazy, my SD card started reading really really slow a couple of days ago, but what's weirder is the fact that I have not flashed anything since #2 v1.5 (romwise)

Edit : maybe it has to do with the new "blobs" folder that comes with every backup done using 6.0+ cwm. Did anyone one noticed how the backup themselves are very small MBwise, everything seems to be stored in the blob

I delete it

Just checked mine and deleted it and it was 1.2Gigs. wow.

wrong move Fuzz, that had bits and pieces of you recent backups (after cwm touch)

-I believe i found the fix (sort of). After rebooting, a file called ".nomedia" gets copied inside /sdcard (internal sdcard), .nomedia is useful when you dont want the gallery to scan for pics or vids (or other files) in a specific folder. Once the phone is done scanning, this file must be copied/moved inside /_External/clockworkmod/ and that should fix the scanning issue. I noticed also that even when moved the files gets created again, not allowing pictures etc inside your internal sdcard to be scanned/displayed on the gallery.

Every time Ive deleted it my backups have restored fine so looks like its not needed. Wasnt needed before and Ill be damned If I need it now.

your backups are smaller now bcz most of it goes inside the blobs folder. I went back to cwm5.0.4.2 or whatever the latest one was before the cwm touch and ill keep it like that since there seems to be a bug with cwm touch and that .nomedia file not going automatically where it needs to be. in the meantime, whoever wants to access their screenshots taken with the native app needs to do so via a file manager since the .nomedia continues to create itself inside /sdcard where screenshots are stored and the gallery will not look for it as long as the .nomedia is there (deleting or moving it does nothing)

Taking forever to charge up battery...hours and hours....

Battery holding charge very well, though...good.
Messaging problems-- long time to text, app fc's & force reboots.
Other apps randomly laggy.
Reboots are the fastest ever, good.

This could all be remnant from previous rom, so gonna try Fuzzy route first: 2.2...if persist will Titanium backup, wipe/format/factory reset, flash 2.2, restore apps thru titanium.

thats why it takes longer to make a backup also... o.O O.o :D

I see people saying that but it seems the same to me, sometimes it feels quicker.

I really really need you to time it, it took me at least twice the amount of time it took before lol. Like I said, I just went back to the regular cwm, I can't deal with the stress :D
