Root [ROM] Number Two (#2) v3.0.1 {ZVE}

It happens with every and any version. also does it with just modded stock LD-LG. so consequently it is causing me to downgrade and upgrade back to stock any time it does this. because i have no need for root if im not on a modded ROM. what i do is i wipe everything with LDs EZ wipe zip then i install the rom, install stock lockscreen, install stock widgets, install app manager, and then that it then i boot it up, then reboot it like he says to do, and within 5 hours i get a reboot and not getting texts on time because of the reboot. it causes me to get texts even like 3 hours after i was suppose to get them. it does this with both #2 and LD-LG..


sized text up and bolded it because it seems a lot of people on this forum dont care to solve an individuals problem..

I disagree on the part where you said people here don't solve individual problems this community has a great group of guys who can help you individually I and many others have had issues and have received help without anything in return
 
i agree with mike trust me theres always something ur overlooking and i refuse tho think your stuck on bad luck and is the only1 experience that prob for a reason. I trust your on a zvd firmware since this isnt for zvb zvc or even the first nortorious zva, and are you wiping cache and dalvik??? could it be your using an app that is making your phone go nuts? does your phone get really hot? if so does it turn off when it gets hot??? theres alot of things that could cause your phone to reboot and typing in huge fonts aint gonna help get any help it got some bad attention ys but if your expecting people to help you for free atleast be nice and considerate.

try to reflash the kernel from this link http://androidforums.com/esteem-all-things-root/520635-kernel-ld-zvd-kernels-more-than-1-a.html try them both stock and modded one to see if that makes any difference then have someone txt u and see if your phone reboots again.

Remember it's got to settle in. After 48 hours and several reboots, makes your assumption then. You'll get a more accurate picture ;)
 
Hey l, if i wanted to center the text in the settings app, hoe would i do that? Like wifi, Bluetooth, applications, sd storage, etc... The text is on the top side between the lines and I'd like to center it between the lines. Would it be a height adjustment or padding? Just point me in the right direction and I'll do the rest. Ty sir

havent tried it myself but it may be as easy as adding 'spaces' on the string.xml instead of:

>storage<

do

> storage <
 
My data won't stay enabled with the new beta. No battery apps are running and this just started. It will disable after about 30 minutes. Not sure if it's the rom but i don't know what else it could be.

you would go to the guide i just wrote up lol i fixed that, posted pic of it in there as well, 25.0dip looks very nice :D

well both #2 and ld-lg come with application manager installed already so you can skip that step :D, as for reboots etc... dunno man, seems to work fine for everyone else... you sure you not skipping a step? try doing the wipes manually, format your system and internal sd, then flash the rom only to see if these issues still exist

Ive done these things already, and this cant be just me if ive had this issue with two phones. i get a text, it reboots, dont get the text till 3 minutes later. the phones not over heating or anything. idk

Try to Flash the rom, reboot and then flash all that stuff. Try not doing it all at once before the phone is even booted.



Also thats pretty annoying with the "screaming text" NO one has had the issue but you so if no one has had the issue and cant recreate it how are we suppose to solve the problem? It could be your phone is faulty. Could be because youre flashing all that at once. Could be anything really. If some one knows the answer, they would help. If they dont? Well how can they answer it especially when they cant recreate it? "screaming" really doesnt attract help. :)
 
I flash everything at the same time. I don't use EZ wipe. ROM, kernel, camera mod, then I run a batch with ROM toolbox of my app back UPS for all my apps, works like a charm.

And i agree as well.
You can prove this by wiping, flashing stock, then flashing the rom in question 'without adding any of your previous programs'.
Dollars to donuts i'd bet you all issues will have disappeared.
Then add one or two of your previous programs at a time...to find oj-err the culprit.

are you using app backups? if you backed up an older mms and try to use it on this rom i garuntee thats the reason your having reboots.. or something of that nature, like shiny said just take it one step at a time.. try only flashing the rom, then test your mms etc.. then flash your kernel of choice etc...

but just as a reminder ill stste the OP

well that too, but i mean more specifically backing up the mms apk from #2 1.7 and restoring it on #2 2.4/5, not built the same so it may cause issues.. specially when it already comes with the correct mms installed, then you replace it with an older one the system probly dont like it..

haha no more updates for a while :D unless a magic wizard comes and makes me a perfect kernel LOL, i dont want to build it and say.. ehh good enough.. lol so should be a while.. though i did edit 1 small thing with the settings theme but ill post a flashable patch for the people who are ocd like myself LOL
