Root [ROM] Number Two (#2) v3.0.1 {ZVE}

Hey driftizzle, 2.5.1 is messing up my internet access. It shuts off after a couple of minutes. Even cleared data thru settings, tried non-pc browser mode, even rebooting. Gonna go back to reg 2.5

Plus the rom isnt doing anything to the internet. Mine works fine.

Got any ideas what could be causing the problem? I like how .1 is set up & wanna stay with it, but 2.5 is working great

Usually data or network problems are from metro. A ROM will generally not cause issues like that.

Also, Ive said it before and i will say it again. You HAVE TO LET the ROM settle in. You cant make assumptions or judgements about the ROM until it has settled in. After 24 hours you can make a valid assessment about the ROM. It has to settle in!!!

Yea Fuzzy is right, usually when that happens to me i will do 2 things in Settings/Wireless_&_Network_Settings/Mobile_Network_Settings

1.turn your "Data Enabled" to off and wait a few minutes and turn it back on

2.once you turn "Data Enabled" back on i like to toggel the "System Select" to either "MetroPCS Only" or "Automatic" seeing witch one gives me the best connection

this usually fixes any problems that i have with that... Hopefully this helps

Lol ok, I'll give it some time. Plus I heard that the Esteem acts funny while charging. & I'm charging while doing all of this. I'll see how it does tomorrow
 
Ok everyone making a big deal over nothing i had the hdmi problem i just copied and paste one from a rom i know that work . It isn't like the hdmi was upgraded just was added to the rom just get the one from your backup and use the file manager and set it aside go back to the rom that isn't working and paste the files.i didn't think that the os would work but hey it did ....:eek::what::D:thumbup:

I usually dont have issues while charging. On the weekends when Im off work my phone stays on the charger so all the modding and tweaking I do is while the phone is on the charger, usb, and it acts normal.

After 24hours you can make a valid assessment of how the ROM is actually running and behaving. ;)
 
Same thing goes for the web copy and paste if it don't work check the permission of the app and if hhat won't do it go to the wifi connect and see if it works . Now of it works your arguments would be with metro but the web may have taken the wrong address cause google has been on a update rampage

Lol ok ok I give. I just remember upgrading to 2.5 & had no issues right out the gate. But ld did say that he has a bug or two to fix. But b4 I forget, I am using wifi. But the signal to the wifi I am using is weak

compiling new kernel now :D hopefully this time i did it right LOL

and i now officially have my own github with kernel source located here :D
