Flashing the new Kernel (LD-ZVD_Speed_Unleashed_1.2_Kernel) made my Esteem turn off/reboot over and over again repeatedly... and without any changes to clock speed involved. I missed many calls and texts... :(
But I flashed back to the older (original/unclocked) Kernel today, and haven't had any problems since. It just goes to show the many differences in our phones, as far as what they like and will tolerate... Ld and his work is awesome, but no one can create one single ROM/Kernel that works best on ALL phones. You try one, and see what happens... but FWIW, #2 is the best we have so far, IMHO. It's the accumulation of every Dev that's worked on the Esteem, and shows their devotion to the art.

yeah i appologize for the issues with the new kernel im still learning ;) just glad i got things to work LOL, can always flash speed kernel to fix'er up haha... as im sure most of you know by now 2.5.2 is in the works :D

just when ya think i may be finished i go and find something else to add/fix!! in this case.. both LOL

but on a side note, i want to add that leaving my device set 9ooMhz was a damn good deal by the end of the day.. too lasy for screen shots right now but just trust me.. i had 4g on bout 60% of the time and wifi on basically the whole time, except ride to and from work because i knew there would be no signal lol.. also had power amp playing music in my car and at work with headphones like 95% of the battery life-span.. it says 9h 16m 4s and 33% remaining :D i think thats pretty good... did some web browsing etc also but nothing worth mentioning.. just some post reading and a reply or two...

also thanks to shiny pointing out the obvious i added a line in smoothness script for launcher pro and a few other launchers.. and i noticed i messed up on contacts theme.. so will fix these few issues etc with 2.5.2 coming soon ;) haha hate to love me, or love to hate me? either way im here to stay!!

ya with the pics i posted i was running at 900, and same thing today with the same results battery lasted from exactly 1230pm to 10pm. thats pretty outstanding in my book.

yeah, i mean there probly 'some' benefits to battery when just running stock/rooted kernel... but the reason of rooting is to have options right?!!! LOL
 
I had to switch back to the speed kernel. Something in the new kernel just didn't like my phone, battery life was cut in half.

I was wondering if anyone else noticed that-I'm not even overclocking.
Going to see if it is better under clocked today @ 921/245
Was getting 18-20 hours prior to-now 10-11 hours(same usage).

Same here gbiggie you are not the only one going back to speed kernel too or will just wait for 2.5.2:D

My phone list 40 percent in 4 hours this morning without even being used. It was sitting on the counter the whole time. Using unleashed.
 
I have SetCPU and I leave it at smartass2 for the whole day and it never reverts bacl to ondemand. O.o I have Fuzzys ICK theme running.
 
Hmmm :rolleyes: L has been mighty quite the past few day he must be cooking something mighty delicious for us on this already great ROM :D :p

Dunno-have seen him trying to give the Connect peeps some #2 love too;)
Wait that didn't sound right :eek: NM
Anyway 7.5 hrs and at 30%
Going to reflash the ROM-and flash the regular speed kernel right after(weird)

I reflashed this morning and immediately flashed speed kernel with no improvement in battery so, back to beta 4 for me.
