Root [ROM] Number Two (#2) v3.0.1 {ZVE}

Dunno-have seen him trying to give the Connect peeps some #2 love too;)
Wait that didn't sound right :eek: NM
Anyway 7.5 hrs and at 30%
Going to reflash the ROM-and flash the regular speed kernel right after(weird)

I'm trying a couple different settings on cpu also changed vm to default got 5 hrs of browsing talking on phone, music playing, video streaming and downloaded a few thing :eek: so idk if that's good or bad but I'm not complaining phone was unplugged the whole time i think I'm wait for 2.5.2 b4 reflashing

Beta 32657:confused::rofl:

Nyrickian said 2.5.2 lol so i just assumed :p

If I'm not mistaken I saw a few pages back that 2.5.2 is in the works.. honestly don't remember exactly it was supposed to fix/tweak though.. I'm running 2.5.1 with speed unleashed kernel 1.2 and it seems to be behaving well.. I'm used to recharging during the day just to be safe but will start keeping an eye on it.. I know I had bad battery life for a few days but my use is random (some days alot, some little) but I did notice once I installed set cpu it seemed to degrade the battery tremendously until I uninstalled no frills.. seemed to improve it once I did that.. maybe they were conflicting and burning too much juice? Also been under clicking to 900 mhz.. downloaded gsam battery monitor which is a great app for seeing what is eating battery but haven't had a chance to utilize but seems to be awesome..

im glad you mentioned that.. PG mentioned to me that no-frills may cause some issue.. i also have noticed battery isn't as good with the new kernel and i even had the damn thing UC'd, so im gonna try a diff cpu managing app :D if that doesn't help than im gonna put regular speed kernel back in as default untill i have a solution.. so that'll be the main focus of 2.5.2, sorry for all the issues lol kernels suck :/

other than that just need to fix a few things with contacts etc.. theme bugs..

Noticed the same nofrills makes my phone alil buggy but setcpu doesn't :confused:

Hey big l if you put the smooth script will that include swift key and other launchers
i would need the exact names of each launcher to add it in.. so if someone wants to make a list before i add it in?

the easiest way i find is to just dl all the launchers, then do an adb pull data/app to find out the true names of each launcher then just send it this way and ill do what needs to be done ;)

Yea everything but the -#

So TSF is com.tsf.shell

Just take the -# and .apk off the end of each

But for system apks you need to, with root explorer or an alike app, tap the apk and click view, then tap the Android Manifest xml

For instance the photo gallery in the app folder is called Gallery3D.apk but thats not the package name. Its real package name is com.cooliris.media

Which can be found in the first line of the AndroidManifest.xml for that apk

Like this:

Another thing you can do is download the launcher you want and download the rom you want. Open the rom up with winrar and navigate to /system/app and rename the launcher you download, example holo launcher rename it to HoloLauncher and drag it in the /system/app/ directory than close winrar and flash as normal. Or using root explorer rename the com.hololauncher.blahblah.apk to HoloLauncher.apk and move it to /system/app/ than tap the home button and set it as default laucher, some phones may require a reboot but mine never does.
