That's weird dude. I had someone tell me today they are perhaps having the same problem on doverted rom... which has a dif kernal/settings/tweaks etc.

Have you tried opening utube app in play store, and select uninstall updates? See if this corrects the prob. If it does... then update again and see what the outcome is.
Let me know if you've tried this already.
If you have not tried this.... do it and let me know the result!
 
Anyone else experiencing horrible lag after messing around on the phone for a little while?

L did you add any memory / ram tweaks? Seems on. 4 everything is using a lot more ram... I use fast reboot pro to keep ram cleared and it's constantly freeing 150mb+ all the time when on 2.5.0 it'd be more around 50mb at a time

there's no fix to be made... lol no body else including myself is struggling with these issues.. i have no idea how to fix what i cant see :( sorry man.. something must have gone wrong during download or install, all i can suggest is to try again :/ unless there's anything YOU did specifically to cause this than i just dont know how to help..
 
why does everything have to be themed? all launchers run like crap. drifta you do great work. but can we get something with out a theme. actually re do the system and not layer on top the old

nope, haven't changed any tweaks in months.. jus keep fixing things that go wrong.. only other thing is when apps update i include them into the rom, so since apps are what use ram i would suspect them to be the culprit in this particular case watson ;)

on a side note, today my phone finally died on me for the first time and got extremely hot? so this made me decide i no longer like my rom and it needs to be fixed lol im going back to the roots on next update.. gonna get re-debloated and im going to run through each little tweak make sure they all play nice together etc.. and then im calling it quits on #2.. she's all done guys sorry lol

no, lol we already have that.. it's ld-lg, no theming just slight modifications

plus this 'theme' as you say, is not layered on top of anything, it's a modified stock system, actually re-wrote/modified parts of code to make it look as it does.. I didn't jus slap extra pieces onto it lol

you could always build your own rom ;)

I've tried unistalling the app completely and installing back, fixing permisions, clearing cache, reflashing the rom.. nothing seems to work..Anything to do with video just gets interupted.

All i did was flash the 2.5.2 update and the problem started... everything was fine before that. Randomly stops video recording it watching videos - YouTube... Watch this video. thats my problem, notice how the status bar comes up

Ehh... did you record that from your phone? I see the recording stopped. But I do not recognize the camera app your using. Did u by chance install a camera mod like perhaps the 8megapixel camera?
 
happened to me,soon as i lose my home wifi ,all i can do is call,text.i think my problem was that i flashed a theme over my rom,but soon as i reflashed rom without theme it worked.
 
I had the same problem with another rom #2 i added these to the build .prop fixed it all .

media.stagefright.enable-record=true
ro.camcorder.videoModes=true

If you need help i show u how very simple when added to prop file .power off device power up in recovery wipe cache and wipe dalvic cache reboot and reboot into system and bam you be back in making ful videos......:eek::D:thumbup:

its the stock camera app... and no i didnt dowload any mods of any sort.. yeah, i did record it from my phone..
 
Okay.... I have never gone backwards in versions of a ROM but I had to go back to 2.5..... 4 is horrible lag on my phone... I mean beyond stock horrible lag to the point it'll be just a white or black screen for 5-10 seconds on any app.....

You didn't mention redownloading the ROM. Have you tried that?

Hey doodie... in the video he posted.... is that the canera that comes with #2 now? I don't recognise the stop button that was in the vid

the actual cam app looks stock, but it did look like he was also using some other... thing? lol i dont know man... i think it's a fluke because no one else is having this issue

yea that looks like the cam before v2.5 i belive... and i havent had any issue like that at all so i have no idea
 
soooo.... who wants to test something? :D did some re-arranging of things in the init.d folder, build.prop, emptied some sys & data apps, changed a few sounds, gave statusbar noti's white trans background with black text to fit stock/market apps and did a bunch of other small un notice-able things :D also added some BT lines back into build.prop from the original stock rom so im hoping maybe the BT will work on this Mod'd settings..?
