are you on 2.6 or 2.6.1? Currently im on 2.6 & havent had a chance to flash to 2.6.1 yet, i havent had a problem with the play store... is the store force closing on you or just refusing to update?
 
im on 2.6.1 but it also happened to 2.6 for every app i try to update ,or one i try to download "Update for 'whatever app i try downloading or updating" could not be downloaded due to an error(Error retrieving information from the server.[RPC:S-5:AEC-0]) the weird thing is that it works fine with other previous roms so im thinking it might have something to do with the build prop settings or something

when you flashed both Versions (2.6 & 2.6.1) did you do a Factory Data Reset and Wipe both the cache n the dalvik cache... also when n if you made your back up... have you tried to restore the play store to an earlier Version (uninstalling and update)

one more thing do you happen to have a Apk of the play store from a backup you did a while ago, if so try throwin that bad boy on your SD an see if that makes a diffrence

Im seriously drawing a giant blank :mad:... The Best way that i know for sure would be to contact the Dev, but everyone already knows u will be waiting forever to hear from Google... I was positive there was a way through Titanium Backup but i just can not put my finger on it

Edit: to tell you the truth the more n more i think about this it sounds more and more like you just got a bad download... I recommend you re-download and flash it agian i think that might do the trick!
 
yeah i was starting to susoect the same too except that this has happened before with other downloads,so i followed your advice googled the web for the same problem then found a link to the play store apk then i replaced it and boom worked like a charms thank you so very much bro !
 
this rom is so fast it seems to have ended my problem i had when i would try to hang up afther a call and it would take forever for it to actually end the process thank you ldrifta for pushing our esteems to the limit your a great dev

haha thanks.. but yet again im not finished.. after using for a day it started lagging like crazy.. but the only difference from my previous usage is i now have the facebook and instagram apps.. they clearly run in the background but it gets to the point that my contacts take forever to open... so back to the drawing board.. im going to just push a tweakless rom lol ill let you guys decide what to add and which help the most :D sound like fun?? lol
 
ok so after a few hours of toying around im coming to the conclusion that the stock lockscreen sucks..? lol soon as i put aosp lockscreen on the lag disapeared :D

so i have 1 more sample of #2 for you guys to test lol after some more look throughs lol i always seem to forget something stupid after each update :D haha
 
Maybe it's just me or the apps I'm using but since switching stock 2 lock haven't had the problems I had with the original
 
long time lurker, not much of a poster. but im having an issue maybe you can help me with. i will be in the middle of a call/conversation and when i receive a txt message it make my speaker and mic stop working. this is very frustrating, i have been using #2 since the beginning and never had a problem. I even tried to a fresh install of the rom with the full data wipe, cache wipe and dalvik wipe. if anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated...thank you in advance
 
I don't know what's going on, but with the last 2 updates i cannot restore my titanium backups.. i have 100 apps backed up, but when i try to restore them only about half of them get restore and the rest don't. I keep on trying to restore the ones that didnt get resrored but they still don't restore. Also when i try to update or download more apps from the play store i get an error. I really like the new updates becasue they feel more responsive, but my apps are my first priority..:( any help would be appreciated..

I always wipe the cache and dalvik cahe like 3 times and i also factory reset 3 times but I'm still having the same problem.. everything works when i flash #2 version 2.5.4
 
i was having the exaxt same problens with my back ups and play store and in the end it ended up being a memory issue i was simply runing out of space since i had so many apps downloaded ,with all other versions of this rom it wasnt an issue but with the last two versions it seems that this rom consumes more memory for some reason, solution: just erase some of the bigger apps or simply move em to your sd,clear up a good amount of memory and try to restore the most useful apps from your back up and you will be able to download from the play store ,try it and let me know how that works out for you bro its worth a shot
 
It would be great if there was a way to use the ASOP (don't even know if I got that right lol) lockscreen to work with the lockscreen music thing that the stock one has. Unless you have gotten it to work, I wouldn't know last time I used the ASOP one it was on 2.9. The music controls is the only reason I'm still using the stock lockscreen.
 
would it be possible for you to release a 2.6.1 without the ICS flip animation? I really hate it, and I'd love it if I could have the latest #2 without that animation. thank you very much regardless, I love opening tapatalk to find a new #2 version

No new version required. I too hate the animations
Settings> Display go to animations and select "no animations"
 
Are the status bar animations included in the ICS animations thing? I have my phone set to "no animations shown" but yet it still does the flip and all that goofy stuff. I'd prefer it to have the normal one that was in stock and stuff.

well, i like having animations but i find the ICS-style flip animations implemented in version 2.6 to be a bit obtrusive. i'll disable animations for the time being, not sure why i didn't think of that. thank you.

were you able to include a change to the MMS small text input area in the new update? or is there a MMS that I can flash back to fix the input area? I like the shineyside mod but would rather be able to see what ive typed =)

Text box is fixed, been running 2.6.1 all day and its just now staying to lag abit...... But other than the minor lag..... This is it!!
