I had the samething but if you have a old stock zvd . Goto system apps and copy the network location app from the zvd system section . Now take that app and paste it in the system of the running rom that has the lag problem . Make sure the app has the permission set . Now go into cwm and clear cache and dalvik cache and reboot back let phone sit for about 5-10 min and then do the *228 thing yes better known as update . :what: this worked for me .

Wow i think i got this 2.8 problems pointed out missing some files from the permission folder and looks like the ping file in the bin needs to be replaced let me see if it works better before i post which files to be replaced . Everyone should know what ping control.

Now please dont kill me for asking such a nooby question, but is there any way to update the rom from 2.5 to 2.8 and still keep all of the memory and apps and things like that on my phone?

Don't wipe data just installed 2.8.1 that's what I do and it works fine for me

I was gonna mention that. The reason the link wasn't available was because every time there was a major change to #2.... drifta had to modify the center clock mod accordingly as well. I think link was removed because it was no longer supported.

The rom for me is very very laggy. Everything is nice looking and i like the layout, but the lag is just turning me back around to 2.5. I definently want to be able to use 2.8 but there are to many problems. so. back to 2.5 this is good work in progess.

Well i did notice some files missing from the permission,framework and lib i posted to see if anyone else seen the same but when i put these files back in runs smoother and better but when u put the new rom in the files you placed is removed . I just need a few more days to see if anything go wrong . But so far very good . Now the 2.8 has the wrong busybox installed . Easy to fix just go to the xbin remove all files but not the ... Dexdump, sqlite3, busybox,zipline and the su file . Or you can goto the google store download busybox installer and put the box 16.2 and sqlite and zipaline . O remember the box 16.2 box Advance So it will put the correct symlinks in the xbin ....

Ok i hear the talk about this 2.8 number 2. Now i am in newyork just was using my phone which has this 2.8 on it i did no extra just cause i was away from the pc/lap top. Ok problems i have is 4glte goes out for sometime lets say a pause of about 35sec. Now i am on a phone call and notice i was talking to myself had good signal but it went through this 30 sec pause which ended my call. The next thing is that i was talking and the person can hear a loud patch of static . So they go and do the Verizon moment .can u hear me now . I notice that the facelock came on and when i unlocked it the static went away and the conversations continue . . Now i have some files that i placed and was problem free .

is there any way to get this rom but with a straight black notification bar? i dont like the white/black fade and its very hard to match that with wallpapers, custom themes, etc etc

Okay so i did the move from 2.7 to 2.8.1 and my backup went corrupt. with 2.8.1 I have a couple BIG issues.
First off can't take any pictures, at first thought must when the flash is one but nope even when its off, after it focuses and is about to take it the phone will power cycle .
Second, it has Brando, reboots every couple hours
lastly though and maybe most importantly to me is that the WiFi tether doesn't work anymore the app wont load the WiFi driver i believe , the WiFi antenna doesn't turn on to broadcast the signal , i do believe its a ROK problem because before 2.8.1 it was working correctly

ANY HELP ? please and thank you
