Root [ROM] Number Two (#2) v3.0.1 {ZVE}

Sure thing, I just started rooting and modding yesterday, I rooted and installed k0nane's basix on my indulge and have had no problems, it's probably something dumb knowing my brother he probably just means he can't see the 4g icon or something xD But I'll let you know :)

i personally had a weird experience with the rom somewhat similar but i didn't get the insert sim text.. but it happened as soon as i installed the rom, set it up and reboot. thats when i had the issue..

so i let it sit for a second then reboot again and all is well.. i was hoping it was just a fluke since no one else had mentioned the issue.. so
?dumb question? but did he reboot it once or twice? lol or just try a data cache and dalvik wipe then reboot..

he will still have the rom installed to system it will just be like the root version of a factory reset except you lose the apps that come installed to data by default lol so hell need to get maps etc.. again
 
Hey ldrifta so this is it for now right cause 1.7 is a beast can i give my phone a break Lol thanks bro battery life is nice too it's an honor having you working on our phones

lol yes this is it i promise, just wanted to fix up what was needed so all is well now.. already started working ld-ick but still needs more time.. and i think ld-lg needs one more update.. other than that my work will almost be done here lol sad to say but the future keeps moving cant stay here forever :D lol im just kidding i have no plans of buying another phone anytime soon haha i like my esteem &metro 50/month.. perfect :D

So if I do that wipe, and let's say do a data restore from my back up root will everything be fine? My brother was telling me that he had internet in the morning and then it stopped working mid afternoon.
 
So I did everything you told me to and I still get the insert sim card message...idk what happened, I updated to zvd and then I installed your rom on top of it after deleting data and then I did a restore of my stuff from my backup root idk what's wrong :S

Now it seems to be worse u.u I get the sim card icon on top with a big X next to it showing how I have no signal at all...and that's after a full wipe and reflashing v1.7, I'm going to pull out the battery after I'm done restoring backup, what's weird is that for a split second I got the metro pcs instead of no sim card inserted...

yeah this happened to me too :/, just reboot man no need to install backup lol
 
WOOO FIXED IT! I downloaded anycut and used it to get to the LTE test application, and I saw that for some reason it wasn't connected to lte, I highlighted connect, went back in to where it tells you if cdma+lte did that, reboot and now has net, I also uninstalled a dumb antivirus my brother added on there, that could also have been what was causing it, anyways that's done, now to get it to stop saying no sim card inserted >.>!

Edit: False alarm, it worked ONCE and then never again -___-
 
Sans thing happened to me back on 1.4 our 1.5 and i just went ahead and changed the language in settings and rebooted. fixed the issues

h... well like i said.. it could be a bad DL, i made sure i had the correct eri.xml in framework and stuff, it happened to me the first time i tested rom, but after installling a few times after it never happened again after the first time.. so my honest opinion is you got a bad DL.. so instead of reccomending things for you to do, i will tell you exactly what i would do in your shoes :D

i would....
-download rom again lol
-download the ez-wipe full version
-place both on sd card
-boot into recovery
-flash ez-wipe, then rom
-POWER OFF and let sit for 5-10 seconds, do not do direct reboot
-power back on and let device sit untill the rom is fully booted and allow screen to shut off, then wait at least 1 full minute before picking it up and playing with it lol
-now do your normal set-up procedure
-POWER OFF device one more time.. let sit for a minute..
-power back on and BOOM!!! should have awesome rom with like 250-260 ram available from start :D

k sounds good, again if it dont work out try following those steps to a T!! and pleeeease re-download the rom lol just incase man it seriously could be as simple as that.. i dont say these things just to say them.. im here to help lol good luck!!! hope it works out for ya ;)

Changing the language took off the insert sim card, but I guess in spanish it's still going to say that but I still get no internet... I re-downloaded the rom and I'm re-flashing atm, will post a follow up
