The smartassv2 govener is the best fr saving battery life. The only thing I would recommend doing is allowing it to scale down to 122MHz (it currently sits as 245 or right around there.) I've managed to get full days worth of battery with the settings I mentioned above.
 
is anyone still having the 3g issue, where you would have to turn on airplane mode and turn it off to get it working?
 
Well Isaac some games work now however the higher end ones are still unplayable. How much memory is the gourmet supposed to be allotted and how much are you giving?
 
went back to stock because of the wifi :( i love this ROM but i need the wifi to stay on. I hate the stock froyo, it's buggy as well :(

One way I got it somewhat working to not do the wifi lock up is to change the sleep policy setting to "never when plugged in" and just leave the phone plugged in. Then after a few hours change it to "never" and that seemed to work for me. Not sure if it'll work for everyone but that's what I did for when I was on stock rom and MIUI and it seemed to do the trick. Hope it helps. :)

I've given as much to the GPU as I can. This is what would be the standard amount for typical VMSPLIT3G. I believe the amount is around 21 mbs (stock was 30). I can go higher, but I run the risk of making MIUI unusable. I would try some of the higher-end games you listed, but I'm not going to buy any games.

The kernel source is available should you want to make a kernel for yourself, but since gaming isn't important to me, it's not on my list. I think giving more to the GPU shouldn't be a problem. I've increased the vmalloc offset which should give some more breathing room.

It may not even be a memory issue. I've been exploring other possibilities as well (gralloc)

cool!..too bad i already went back, i just need someone to confirm this and im going back to MIUI!...you did this with the new build?

Edit: It doesn't seem to be working. Only fix I can really think off is leaving the screen on at all times. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. /:
 
This rom is good that I went back to CM7 to see if I would like it better than MIUI and I don't. MIUI has so many customization options on it, you can change almost every aspect of theme. Like the other people said about the wifi sleep thing well that's on both MIUI and CM7 so thats only problem that i have with it. THANKS isaacj for this awesome rom the best i ever had on a phone. :D
 
Sorry if this was discussed all ready is there work around for the mms to work like go SMS app . Love this miui so much just starting miss my mms now to

yeah im with you..I miss my mms too. the go Apn fix dosnt work here. At least from what I have tried and what I have seen on here
 
love your fixes but the most important one is still a problem! losing data every 1-2 hours, and also getting NO PUSH NOTIFICATIONS! i went back to a stop nandroid and data and push notification is perfect so its not my service. just saying...

Isaac, you don't have to buy games or software. Especially if your just testing them. Just download 4shared off the market and get it all for free. On another note. Do you think koush might be in jail or the hospital or something..? There hasn't been a reply from him in about a month and haven't saw an update for ROM manager in a while..?
 
Lovin this ROM! My only problem is that every once and a while my device just goes into airplane mode. Anyone else having this problem?

As suggested by other users, I decided to try out Juice Defender. It's free on the Market and it toggles off data when the device is asleep and toggles it back on after waking it up. It's not a *real* solution, but it works for me.

I haven't had any trouble with my data after using Juice Defender. Plus, my battery life is better, so that's a bonus.

No, not at all. Koush is very much so active on Github. Just look at his timeline: https://github.com/koush

The last commit was about 6 hours ago. In his defense, I think he's backed up on all recoveries.

Agreed! I have been using juice defender since I first got the phone and I have never had any "dead" 3g on any of the custom ROMs on this site. Battery life has been great as well!
 
Is anybody experiencing charging problems? For me the charger is plugged into the phone is the indicator is red but it takes forever to charge even when i had it charging since 8:45am EDT and now its 2:03pm EDT and only at 43% and dropping while using original charger. I also have to move in part that goes inside the phone port for it to charge. Is it a hardware issue or MIUI? I'm goin to CM7 and see do it do the same. :(

Sounds like a hardware problem to me. Are you using the actual charger or are you plugging it in to your computer? I've noticed that it takes longer on the computer than it would if you have it connected to an electrical outlet.
