Root [ROM][PORT][FINAL] MIUI 1.11.25-Triumph | 113011-2 (GB 2.3.7 based)

What's the word with WIFI? Has the WIFI lockup issue finally been put to bed?

I haven't had a lockup for a whole day now.

Using version 103011 all day, I had no wifi lockups. But battery life was not as good as version 102311 with Advance Wifi Lock solution. I had one random reboot today, and everything else seemed OK. I always wipe the Dalvik cache and regular cache before flashing a ROM.

I will look into adding the next stage of WIFI fixes from TG for the next build.

ok so i'm now trying shadowgun to see if i get the same results as you isaac, as sacred odyssey wouldn't work no matter what settings i tried on chainfire with the nvidia plugin loaded, and even tried with no plugin loaded. all i got was the controls were loaded and the screen and workable, but the actual gameplay image wouldn't show up at all. just the symbols in actual gameplay, and like i said the controls and menus. very odd. anyhow i'll see how shadowgun runs. did you have to tweak any settings specifically in chainfire to get it to work?

Just for hahas, I decided to download Chainfire 3D and try out ShadowGun 1.0. This is using my latest version (unreleased) of MIUI (10312011-1). I have made no new changes to the kernel:

P.S. Thanks Rain for the sticky!

Is that with lowered texture settings? I can only play at low texture settings, 5-15 FPS, and the game quits after a few minutes anyways. What will be fixed with the GPU? :D

All,

I have asked this question previously.

Does anyone have a problem with their pairings being lost after terminating your BT connection? I have to re-pair each time I try to use BT.

If there is something I missing, please point me in the right direction.

I love this ROM!

Isaac-Thanks for adding another choice for the Triumph.

Same for me. But the latest build is an improvement from the previous. For me, with the previous build, after stopping the BT connection I couldn't re-connect/pair again until I reboot the phone. Now at least I don't have to reboot, but it's still a pain that that I have to pair every time. I hope there will be a fix for this. :)

Hi. Thanks for this awsome Rom.. my favorite so far

I am having a couple issues with the rom and I was wandering if anyone else is having this problem.. When I put a custom made ringtone (from music) on the phone it does not play the music but instead goes to a ringing beeping noise. And is there a way to increase the sms limit on miui without having to download a third party sms app? I've been searching the web for a solution for this but I cant find it.

Thanks again!!!

OK so I just got my first call since flashing the latest build. I was reading something on the web. When the call came in the phone went black and wouldn't let me do anything until the call stopped ringing???

I tried everything to reproduce this. I used my home phone to call myself over and over. I waited about 30 seconds between each call placed. I tried this while web browsing on the phone. I tried this with the screen locked. I even had a text come through at the same time and the call still came through fine. All of this with no black screen.

Furthermore, I did not make any changes that would cause the problem you described (unless it was introduced by MIUI upstream). The proximity sensor (there were new fixes picked up from TG) would of only kicked in had the call been answered (i.e. the "in-call" state).

Hey thanx for looking into it Isaac. I know you said u didn't really want any bug reports. I was trying to see if anyone else experienced the same thing. I'm going to do some testing on my own. it could have been an isolated incedent but it did definitely happen. Again thanx for checking it out.

Also as far as the songs switching real fast. It happened after i reflashed last night and stopped after about 4 seconds and didn't happen again or since.

I do have a question. I have been flashing then restoring my data from a nandroid backup. Could that cause issues?

No worries, man. To answer your question, most of the time the answer would be no. As long as your restoring data from a previous MIUI install, you shouldn't have problems. However, since the latest build was a move from 2.3.5 to 2.3.7 (and it seems a good bit of the framework changed since 1.10.14), this might be what's causing you problems. I always wipe my data (never restore anything) and I haven't been able to produce any of the issues you described. That's something to consider.

There's a lot of factors to try and sift through. It could be these are MIUI issues (from China). These problems might be caused when the MIUIAndroid team translated this build (this is unlikely), or it could be my changes (I didn't touch anything related to this). Or it's just you. LOL. :p

These are dev snapshots, so it's not a stable ROM yet (talking about on the MIUI side). They're still working out the kinks on their end too.

There's no real way to know unless you have a logcat and dmesg output from the moment you start having the issues.

OH wow. I did the full wipe as I usually do and this build started up very fast for me. I was on the bootscreen a fraction of the time as the previous build. It also appears to be more responsive to me and is using less memory (Which I think is absolutely awesome).

I think personally people should always do a full wipe. The few extra minutes put into it are worth it. I've never really had any serious bugs with installing any of these roms. From way back when I had my Ascend, To my oV, To this MT, I've found taking the extra step is really the greatest way to avoid problems.

Thanks Isaac. This build is way faster for me, I've not had any of that "Lag" when opening applications. I used to. =]

AND I just realized it saved my previous theme on my SD card. So I don't have to go hunt it again! Wow. *Happiness*

Only question: Do you think that one fix that was put to show 'Recovery' instead of guard will be viable for this build?

It can be disabled via the theme editor. If your phone is set to vibrate or silent, it shouldn't play. If you want to remove it completely, it's in /system/media.

It will be removed in the next build. I just left it this time for the sake of it.

Thanks for the info. No need to remove it if you like it. It's easy enough to remove the file myself from the Zip before flashing now that I know where it is. :)

I'll see if I can update that mod tomorrow or so.

Not having internet at home sucks btw... :) stupid snowstorm!

Man can't believe you guys already have snow I'm in Tennessee and its still a balmy 70 degrees right now lol. Though it did get below freezing at night over the weekend lol.

Hey, Isaac, this build is amazing, as I stated earlier. But one major problem is battery life- I was down to 50% by lunch, where as normally I'm still at 90-95% with earlier builds. I'm draining 10-20 percent per hour, with the screen off, and with WiFi off. There has to be some bug or something really sucking the power out of this phone. It wasn't happening this fast before 10/30. Otherwise, awesome build! :D
