Root [ROM][PORT][FINAL] MIUI 1.11.25-Triumph | 113011-2 (GB 2.3.7 based)

Hi. Quick question:
I was looking in other forums about the prl swap. I tried installing "Anycut" from the market and making a new shortcut with "Select COM port" and there was no option for this, and my PC isn't recognizing the port when I start the phone. Yes, I have usb debugging on when i shutdown, but to no avail. I was just wondering if this is because of the MIUI rom currently on it, but i would like to try the Sprint PRL and see if my data speeds increase. Forgive me if this was mentioned earlier, but I have searched everywhere and every post says to look for an invisible "Select COM port" lololoololol.
Thanks, and THANK YOU ISAAC and TickerGuy!!!;)

Can you post a screenshot of the issue? I checked everything with the Roboto font before I included it. If there's stuff missing, I'll have to revert back to the default (Arial) font.

Ah, never mind. I had a different font selected. Once I changed it back to the default, it was fine. Thanks.

after installing the latest update i checked /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/179:0/read_ahead_kb via rootexplorer and was still 128

I increased the throughput on the block itself. Check:

Code:
/sys/block/mmcblk1/queue/read_ahead_kb

It should read 2048.

If you use a different launcher there is an app drawer. The default MIUI one works just like iOS.
Ya, I had it set like that from when I first tried MIUI last month but it was to buggy at that point so I went back to Cyanogen. I wanted to try using the default launcher so I setup the folders how I wanted and went from 14 screens down to 5! I like this launcher so far so I will give it a go for a bit.

I only have 2 homescreens. lol. It's funny, I work on Android a lot, but I don't really use my phone as a smartphone.

I'm loving the latest update. Overnight my battery drained 1.2% per hour, which is about how it was in CM7. (Only 3G enabled... will test tonight with only Wifi enabled). Used the BT a lot last night for the first time... works awesome now, I'm so happy!

For me, it's working perfectly now, so I'll be wary to update to the "next" build, in case something gets broken again! ;)

I'm in the testing period right now for 1.11.4. I haven't found anything broken, yet. So far it's looking good.

Hey Isaac, I threw you some change, it's really not much as I am not financially sound at this moment, however I do greatly appreciate all the work you have done for this phone and the least I can do is to show my gratitude

I have my main homescreen which is for my most frequently used apps, then I have a media screen for anything multimedia related, a Games screen, a Tool/Utilities screen and then one dedicated to widgets. Each screen also has a folder that contains the least used apps in the category that don't fit on the screen. My boss thinks i'm nuts! :D

For some reason, my

"com.android.server$AlarmManger"

is keeping my phone awake, and therefore killing my battery.
This has been happening since the 10/30 build, and I've tried almost everything except for a full wipe of my phone. Any clues as to what I should do before I wipe my phone?

Things I have tried:
Disabling Juice Defender
Turning off the alarms

Interestingly enough, Juice Defender putting my phone into Airplane mode at night will put the phone into sleep mode.

Many thanks. It's always appreciated. :)

I think most of us don't make too much here but as long as we do what we can that's all that matters.

We love our devs!!! <3

how can i play shadowgun :( i copied the game data and everything and it's saying device not supported

Shadowgun doesn't really work on any of the ROMs. I tried it on stock, CM7, and MIUI. It'll play for a few minutes and then it'll freeze/stop.

However, if you'd like to give it a go. Download Chainfire 3D from the market. Install the Nvidia plugin and turn down texture settings.

Is there a way to optimize the game for it?

EDIT: Nevermind, I re-read your post and saw the part about Chainfire. :)

This worked for me:
What you should do: Make a backup of your current setup using the built-in Backup option (back up EVERYTHING including system setting). Then, make a Nandroid backup using recovery (just in case- the one time you DON'T back up, the evil Android gods will try to brick your phone). Do a factory reset through CWM- erase Dalvik cache, battery stats, "/system", and perform a factory reset. Then, install the new build.

Once the new build is installed, restore the backup you made in the MIUI Backup app. Your phone should be good as new, with your old setup in tact.

If it's not (like if you get stuck in a bootloop), go ahead and restore your Nandroid backup. Then, format like you did in the previous steps. Install the new update. Everything should work then.

Whenever I restore everything with the built-in Backup system, I get stuck in a bootloop. And have to wipe data and flash the rom again. :/ It only happens when I restore all system files, even though they're from literally 20 minutes ago and from the same ROM. So I usually just restore a few necessary ones like messages, notes, and desktop layout.

This the error message I got:

CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.3
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log

If I try some of the commands in the CWM the working logo appears and it freezes. v4.0.1.5 will work, but will not let me flash this ROM. What could I be doing wrong? :(

The recovery version I have posted is 5.0.2.6. Where did you get v5.0.2.3?

5.0.2.3 was the original 5.x.x.x recovery that TG posted in the CM7 link...maybe it still is.

either way, there is very little difference that i've noticed (if any) between that and 5.0.2.6.
