Root [ROM][PORT][FINAL] MIUI 1.11.25-Triumph | 113011-2 (GB 2.3.7 based)

The MIUI default UI is pretty amazing. It does the thing that truly good UI design has: its deceptively simple. At first glance, it looks honestly less powerful than a stock Android...not true, actually. I played with it for awhile, then tried the "ultimate iphone theme"....ended up preferring the default UI. To be honest, its a beautiful blend of what iPhone does right and some things Android does better. Switching to the exact iphone experience felt a little...confined. The lock screens and the variations you can make with them are a hell of a lot more freeing than the simple "slide to unlock".

Thanks to all that were involved in getting this really cool android variant on my phone. I really would find it hard, already, to switch over to cm7 (although its a great project, too.)

With that being said, the MIUI 4.0 here looks very beautiful, and I hope it gets ported over, too.
 
funny that you post that, Isaac. i was JUST talking about MIUI 4.0 with minus5252 earlier on youtube haha. AWESOME that you found info. i was hoping for a complete redo but i guess theres nothing really wrong with the current version so why overhaul a good thing?
 
I love this rom, thanks for all your hard work Isaac. I'm having a problem gaining root access with it, I am trying to restore my apps with titanium backup but it wont work. Can someone please help me?
 
Sorry this is off topic, but I tried to send you(Isaac) a private message but could not due to your settings. Anyway I now signed up with T-Mobile monthly 4g and got the Samsung Exhibit ii 4g and there is no rom what so ever for this, in fact it's almost not existent in the developing community. I also found out that this is infected with CIQ.

My question is, If I were to save up to donate a Exhibit ii would you be willing work on it? Since I can't contribute skills I figure I could contribute supplies. I really don't like that CIQ is installed...

I understand you are very busy, I have no expectations of you saying yes. I am not sure if it's proper etiquette to request a developer to develop but I am fully willing to donate this phone when I have the $ to do so. Please if this is as tabboo as asking for an ETA please forgive me and I will never request again.

Thanks a bunch for making my Triumph such a bad ass pnone

I just switched over to this ROM from CM7, it was doing the same to me when I first flashed this ROM.

Go to the superuser app and open the settings, there is a toggle for root permissions, set it to on.

I have tried this already and it still wont work :( thanks for your help tho
 
@pillsclenic I had the same thing happen earlier today. It was rooted, but Titanium Backup said it wasn't rooted. I also could not install Busybox. I am not sure what was really going on. Luckily I had a previous nandroid of MIUI (like a month old). I restored that and then flashed the new one over it (without wiping anything) and had no issues. Maybe you can flash an older version, make sure you can do what you wanted, then flash over top of it. That might work if nobody else has a better solution.

Make sure that you reload the app via the settings menu after the first start up/root check. It should work just fine then.

If you're still looking for a custom ringtone fix, I think I found one. Instead of going to "Settings" and then "Sound," go to the Themes app. From there, tap on "Edit theme" at the bottom. Scroll down to the bottom to the "Ringtones " section, and set them from there.

I set my custom ringtones via the Music app. It always works for me.
