I love this ROM but nobody can hear me when I make or receive a phone call (at all, nothing but horrible background noise). Has anyone else had this problem????

Yes. I and a couple others have posted on this issue. No fix yet as far as I know. Can't wait so I can run this awesome rom

No problem. I actually posted the first time that it was to quiet because my wife said the same thing but after some testing I think it is just extremely sensitive and picking up all the background noise.

Yeah it does pick EVERYTHING up. I've been researching background noise remover apps but haven't been able to find anything. I'll keep looking.

I don't know a thing about development of roms but the call quality is fine on cm9. So I'm not sure why there would be a change with 10?

Anyone else have an issue with wifi not connecting?

Its hangs on Obtaining IP Address for a while, then Authenticating, then back to Obtaining IP Address. Tried 2 different routers, both with WPA encryption. After about 5 minutes it says Avoided Poor Internet Connection. FIXED: Changed the router channel from 3 to 10. Connects fine now. For some reason it doesn't like channel 3.

Also, where is the option for choosing what the device does when connected to a computer? Mine is not doing anything when plugged in, but I don't see the connectivity option under settings.

No issues with call quality here.

I have no problems with cm9 regarding wifi but I know GPS is not working on cm9 and you can receive mms messages but you can't send an mms messages. Not sure about Bluetooth because I don't use it

I had better wifi on CM9 than on stock, so yea.

Yeah....i've been having problems with background noise as well...

can't use any automated call centers with this phone right now

I was running CM10 today and noticed that the battery drain was higher with this ROM than ICY fusion. The mic was overly sensitive but other than that no complaints at all. Steady data, even did wifi hotspot over 4G from phone. Every time I was on call the lockscreen would show up though.

The lock screen turns on because of the proximity sensor. It happened to me on stock too.

It's similar to cm10 but has more options to customize it and it's mascot is a Pink Unicorn. I haven't used AOKP41 yet but I've always liked the rom. Give it a shot and see what you think of it.

Aokp41 is android open kang project.

It's a cherry picked rom with the best parts of various roms, but it's based off cyanogenmod. So aokp40 is based on cm9 and aokp41 is off cm10.

The rom controls in AOKP are awesome, but the battery life is poor compared to cyanogenmod.

Basically a modded cm10. Has a few more features. I personally like aokp more

I really don't like posting this because I do understand how much work is being put into this, I just don't understand what good a custom rom on a phone is if I cant actually use it as a phone. gps, bluetooth, data. awsome. but not worth anything if people cant even understand me during a phone call. I hate to sound ungratefull but i feel like i have been ignored.

edit: before I get slammed. the only response I have seen by someone working on this is that they have not made a call so they can't comment.
