Root [ROM] RomZeroFinal 4/3/2011 it's not over

The point of my post wasn't to insult as I clearly stated that SOME don't follow instructions as Asadullah pointed out. I also stated that we are all here to help.

The post wasn't directed at anyone specific.
 
Yeah I'm not talking about anyone in particular in that post. There was a post that made me want to write that. Oh in my post in the 2.2.1 on the first page I was definitely talking about someone. :D

That reminds me. I been thinking about disabling stagefright. Several other rom makers are doing it. Plus aplus was saying something about it the other day so I'm probably gonna undo it.

A note on SetCPU

I am finding that SetCPU is not working for me. I kept the program open and watched it and it kept going back to 600 Mhz. So, I got CPU Master Free and that is working for me.

At this point, I am grateful for this ROM. It took my phone from an entry level Android, to a mid-level lifestyle augmentation device. I was able to customize the hell out of the GUI and I am glad this will be a solid machine when I pass it to my wife in a year or two. I'll get an Atrix when the price comes down. :)

EDIT: Nevermind I think i found it. googled CUSTOM RECOVERY and found a page that has the necessary files to get into custom recovery.

I Hold down the buttons till the customer recovery comes up. see if it's something simple like that. I do that everytime. doesn't cause any issues.

Weird. Mine works fine. Although I'm wondering what the best settings are for the "advanced" tab. Anyone tinker with these yet? How did you get that to 768 without crashing? Mine will crash if beyond 748.

Each CPU is unique. It really comes down to luck of the draw when overclocking. Some can handle really high speeds, some can handle moderate speeds and in rare cases some can't even be overclocked at all.
 
Each CPU is different. I am having some trouble at this speed, so I am stress testing to see if this is temperature related. If it is, then I will have the clock speed ease back when the temp gets too high. Right now, I'm at 34 degrees.

Some people can get up to 860 something, my shit crashes when I cycle that high. I wasn't one of the lucky ones. Also, I am saving on battery by lowering the CPU min. That's something you might want to look into.

Beat me to it. I too would like to incorporate the stock android keyboard back onto the phone. Call me a hater but I loathe Swype.
 
Is the stock keyboard separated into a .apk file that I can install as an app?
I hate the fake gingerbread keyboard I'm using right now. :[

If it is a .apk, would it be against the rules to post a link for andy and I to download?

Atrix? You would go to AT&T?

Just wait until later this year when Metro has better LTE Androids out. They promised at least 5 and up to 6 by the end of 2011. Only one has been released so far and this is mid-April. They definitely promised one more by mid-year, then probably the rest for Christmas shopping season.

Also they are building more density to their LTE network.

I have two Optimus right now, for me and my wife. But by year end I plan to have at least one LTE Android.

What I am waiting for is something from LG like this Optimus M, but with LTE chips! :cool:
 
I was going to flash this final, final lol but I'll wait until the keyboard issue is addressed. I'm with Andy on this one I absolutely loathe Swipe with a passion.

Oh and Chazz, I'd love for LG to come out with a similar design to the M with LTE as it would be worth the upgrade. I like how my M isn't black like every other Android device, a little odd I know but it sets it apart imo.

why don't you guys give swiftkey a try. i've used all the diff boards and swift is by far my fav
 
Umm, I really cant download the rom lol I can download the google apps fine but when i try to download the rom it says this file cannot be checked for viruses (too large or something) download anyway? When i try to download anyway nothing happens and it doesnt work if i try save target as either .... any suggestions or another download link i really want to try this rom.
 
Disable your firewall, AV, and any browser plugins. If that doesn't work, get google chrome and download it with that. If that doesn't work, then I'll see what I else I can do.

Oh, and re-enable everything once you get it dled.

Well after some internet issue, I see that we may get a Rom Zero III? If so maybe I'll wait it out. I have been considering changing up Roms of late.
