Root [ROM] RomZeroFinal 4/3/2011 it's not over

What kind of space is left on the phones main memory (right now I have about 26Mb out of the 201Mb) after putting this ROM on?

I have about 200 apps and still have over 100mb using RomZero with a2sd.

The 26 Meg is with using app2sd and uninstalling some things (I had to take off adw launcher so I could install the newest swype yesterday). I'm ok with the lg home, but its just the simple fact of having to uninstall anything to make room.

I'm not using Apps2SD, that just lets you move apps to your normal sd storage, it still leaves data on your internal memory and if you move apps with widgets you can't use them (the widget.) I use a2sd, this is where you partition your sd card and it reads that partition as internal storage so all your dl'd apps go there instead of on your actual phone memory. I couldn't live without it. This phone has such horrible internal memory.

I just looked up and found "a2sd froyo root" on the market. Is that the one you're talking about? If so, is there an english version. The one on the market is showing screen shots that are in french.

No, it's added to the rom itself. It is not an app. Like I said, if you want, you can partition your sd card to an ext3 partition and I will send you my customized RomZero.

That sounds good. So, is your customized RomZero not like the ROMZero that I downloaded from the link in the op (which I haven't flashed yet). I think I'm getting closer to going ahead and flashing a new ROM and this one seems like the best choice for me. Does the original ROMZero have this functionality built in?

Oh, do I have to change my SD card to an ext3 partition for this to work? How would I do that? Is it in the custom recovery?

No, the original doesn't have it. I added a2sd plus a few other apps and tweaks.

Something I just thought about; when a new ROM gets flashed, how does the phone keep its service and the phone number?

I was wondering if ROMZero has been updated lately? Also, what's the link to the 2.2.1 version? I've tried to search for it, but haven't been able to find it.

Hey guys. What happened to the links? Anyone still got this? If you got it please flip me a link as to where I can get it. Thanks!

My bad about the links I deleted one of my google accounts that had them so it could be a second before I repost them if at all but I'll see what I can do

All phones have multiple partitions, not just one.
Think of them like rooms, you have system, boot, recovery, data, userdata etcetera.
Roms only use a few rooms, gennerally boot, system, and data.
None of these areas hold your phone number, though apn info is and must be set according to carrier.
Since the partition where your number lives isn't affected its all good.
