I knew this was gonna happen, I told you primed.....it will be fixed tomorrow, unless primed fixes it tonight.


To fix:
Open the zip with winrar or 7zip
/META-INF/com/can't remember name (bottom folder)/next folder/next folder if there is one/open updater-script with notepad

Remove somewhere around the beginning of it an assert line all the way to the semicolon and that semicolon, save, exit, make sure it stayed like that in the zip, flash it now
 
I'd wait for a fixed release. If the code is not changed properly it can brick the phone. So without knowing exactly what to change it would be better safe than sorry. Also after rezipping it should be resigned.

No.....its the assert scripting, I always remove it....otherwise that error comes up, Primed changed it this time to the M assert line but it failed ........also if you don't extract and rezip, you don't need to resign.
 
Can someone tell me wtf is the default movie player? Its starting piss me off I can't stream mobile movies because the regualr android movie player sucks. I want mxplayer to be my befaul. I already tried damand that didn't work. Can someone tell me what it is or where it would be located so I can uninstall or delete it? Thanks

No I did that already. I deleted the app altogether. Then I went online and the same android movie player showed up. I was hoping primed or sammyz the guys who ported this can tell me. Plus when I go to gallery there are no defaults to clear. Not a noob man, already looked this stuff up. Nothing is helping.
 
The build should be in about phone. I believe there at the 4-9 build now. Another way that resets the defaults would be to install quickpic. Also what browser are you using? I help them out when it comes to questions about the rom as they don't have as much experience with it as I do.

Problems like this you would have to ask on the thread of where this ROM came from....problems like these probably exist on the Optimus V as well.... I think the default movie player is the app called "Videos" which is always the case on android, if you want a better one, then you have to get one from Market.
 
It's not an issue once you clear defaults or install a new player that supports online streaming which will reset the defaults. Also mx has to also have the arm6 codec installed which is a separate app and has to be ran at least once for it to go into the set of defaults available. I forgot in recent updates they added that as the video player.

Oh yea I remember that, yea you need to go get the codec for arm6 processors, try playing a streamed video and that prompt should come up saying that you need to get it. If you're not using wifi then you're gonna have a hard time with all this, metropcs is so slow, I wish I got a V with Virgin Mobile xD
 
Alright listen I already deleted the videos.apk app. I consider that shit bloat ware. But in cyanogen mod the movie player and the music apparently one in the same. I deleted music.apk already. I got playerpro. I thought that was the problem then I deleted playerpro gallery and camera. When I went to watch the movie online using wifi the android player came up again. So I restored my camera,gallery,and playerpro and got the dam app. It changes and sets defaults for you. User mxplayer as my default streaming and video on sdcard app. When I went to watch the movie guess what showed up? Android movie player. This is starting to piss no eff. I'm about to throw my optimus m at a wall...
 
Last thing I'll say on this. YouTube site and possibly some others use there own mobile player. The built in browser likely won't allow for different apps for streaming. Opera uses its own player. Skyfire uses its own player. Dolphin mini uses its own player. Dolphin hd you can change defaults. Opera Mobile, not mini not next, may also let you use a different default. You can also try doing a full wipe and reinstalling the rom. This is why I asked what browser you are using.
 
Quick question. Is there any way to increase "In-Call Volume"? I mean I press volume up button and it's all way up, but it's still kinda low comparing to sense rom, which I was using before, it was pretty loud.
