Flashed 2.1.2 with swype added back in and everything is working great. I chose Set CPU for cpu control and everything seems to be working fine. Thanks for you hard work! :smokingsomb:
Glad to hear it!
Just wanna say thanks for doing all this. This was my 1st time rooting and installing a ROM and everything was a breeze. Instructions are very easy to follow.
Thanks again!
Glad you seem to be enjoying it
cant believe you added Gangnam style and Manamana to the ringtones lol. i added manamana as a dedicated ringtone for a friend of mine who loves that song. its gonna be hilarious when he calls.
hey Artine, had a question about a few things in your features list i was hoping you could clear up for me.
what does the complete audio overhaul entail?
you listed silent camera, but it looks like its just the stock one thats installed, and its not silent (by default anyways). maybe this is left over from an earlier build?
can you go into some detail about the advanced power menu? trying to figure out whats different.
is Adaway still included? im not seeing it installed as an app, and havent noticed it running at all.
thanks!
For Gangnam Style they had a poor loop of it on Zedge (as in it was supposed to be a loop, but wasn't complete), so I actually pulled that ringtone audio file onto my computer, edited it into a perfect loop, then put it in as an included ringtone. Little secret never revealed XD
The Power Menu is extended from stock. Twice the features actually; Reboot, Recovery, and Screenshot were all added to the Power Menu.
Complete Audio Overhaul - Found in /system/media, most of the stock Alarms, Notifications, and Ringtones were stripped from the ROM, to be replaced by higher quality A/N/R from ROM dumps from (but not limited to) CyanogenMod, the Galaxy SIII, the LG Intuition, and the Nexus 7. All of the UI sounds, located in /system/sounds/ui, were replaced by those from the Nexus 7 as well.
Yes, it is the stock one. The difference being that sound should not be playing whenever you take a picture, because the respective audio files that caused such noise were located in /system/sound/ui but I had removed them. For some, this does disable the sound. For others, not the case - and Hashtag's edited .apk of the stock camera to make sure the camera is truly silent, no longer seems to work. The effect does still stay in some cases however, and I will contact Hashtag soon about whipping up another version (I'm sure he could do it quickly) based on what works now.
AdAway hasn't been included, but the effect from AdAway does. AdAway and other ad blockers for Android merely changes the hosts file found in /system/etc, and doesn't need to be running in the background once it has altered that file. I try to stay on top of their updates so that each time I upload a build of Sleipnir, it comes with an updated hosts file (as listed in the features list). In this way, people still don't have ads (or, at least, have fewer ads), but don't have an extra app they might not need/use. However, if they would like to have AdAway included as well, I see no problem with this and would be happy to include it in future updates
