I kept my copy of the second version and bluetooth has been working for me.
Here is a link to that version.
Sense ROM Update.zip
Please do not use Firefox to download. Trust me, use another browser, preferably I.E.

Insanity, Firefox downloads the same file as any other browser.

You guys are flipping crazy thinking IE is the only browser that can download a precious android rom.

Wow.

How about you post a hash check so people can download it with a for-reals browser and know its right?

Edit: For the record, I have downloaded this rom, chicken eater, and cm7 and reppards kernel with Firefox and have had 0 problems.

Cool! I'm going to try it in a few minutes! I don't need A2SD (hell I don't even know what it really does. LOL)

With a2sd you shouldn't have to worry about those low memory notifications anymore . For instance. I have 113 downloaded apps on my phone but still have 155 MB of the 200mb free on internal memory

Darry,
When I installed it the first time, I couldn't get BT to work. Then I used the newer version and it still didn't work. Now I can't even get the older version of load on the phone (bad)...

I don't know what the deal is with BT and ROMs.

Pete

Ok so I upgraded my sd card to 8gb from 4gb, messed up somwehere and my memory was super low so i re-flashed the rom and Im back to no bluetooth, eventually some how some way it always comes back so this time Ill pay special attention when it does so maybe I can give some insight

UPDATE
***********************************************************************
SUCCESS, SUCCESS, SUCCESS and after only 12 hours since flashing rom, So last night I couldnt get it to pair (that old chestnut) I tried like 20 times and nothing, when I put phone down to go to sleep I left bluetooth on (phone settings and bt device, not in pairing mode just on).

I woke up in the middle of the night (nature called) and glanced at phone and the bluetooth fairy must have come or something because it said "paired but not connected), I went back to sleep and woke up thinking it was all a dream (cute right?). However when I tried connecting nothing happened, rebooted phone and still nothing.....I put the bt back in pairing mode and boom it connected and Im good to go.

My theory and its only a theory is that even though its giving us error notifications that as long as the bt is on your devices list on phone its gonna keep trying to pair even after it says it cant or even when your bt isnt in pairing mode.So maybe after the error msg. leave the bt on and leave bt settings to on in your phone, I really hope this works for you all as it did me

So just give it a century and a half to pair to everything, then IMMEDIATELY run a nandroid backup or something else suitable to save the pairings, and never touch it again? lol alright awesome! I'll try it tonight.

ok this might be a stupid question but i have read everything that i needed to do over n over for a few days debating if i wanted to flash a rom and seeing how purdy this one was i decided id try so i followed the instructions and once i seen installation complete from the recovery menu i rebooted my phone from the recovery now im looking at a screen thats showing like a bunch of llines for into a X keep looping and ive been lookn at it for bout 10 mins now. is this another part of the installation process? should i restart? or can someone tell me whats going on here? ty

hey bro if ur stil tryin to fix that, this is wat i did,, just go back to recovery mode den wipe all again den reboot .. shud now stop the looping thingy.

Well I have the newest sense. Rom with r.o.c.k kernel and Bluetooth worked with no issues at all... I just came back from cm7 considering it sucked my battery quicker than a Asian Hooker and the bt didn't work but the Bluetooth works fine on this rom I'm wondering why most are having issues I have the optimus m that came with 2.2.1 what about you guys who are having problems?

That is just the boot up animation and it will take a while for it to get past that screen when you first boot up a newly installed ROM.
If you followed the instructions to the letter, without skipping a step or any advice, like wiping before flashing, you might have to wait a minute or two but NOT ten.

I thought I did too???? :/

There's nothing different that I'm doing that I'm aware of. run a nand backup to cover my ass, wipe everything except /sd-ext/, flash the sense rom zip, and boot. i didnt flash the OC kernel until after i had already booted a time or two and realized that new rom = new kernel, and my last install of the OC kernel had been overwritten. So I went in, wiped the caches, and flashed the kernel zip. *everything* works fine except bluetooth, which fails miserably. I've tried starstress's thing of just leaving it all on overnight--no dice.

EDIT: I may try a wipe and new re-flash of both, just to see. I don't expect a change, but neither did any of you who suddenly got it working, right?

Only thing I did different was wipe my SD ext...other than that I don't know :-/

well I could be wrong, but I think that wiping /sd-ext/ will just erase all of the apps you had moved to the SD card. As long as the partition remains intact, you'd just be reinstalling apps and moving them all over to SD again.

Odd point though: Used to be, when I would wipe in recovery and choose "Wipe ALL Userdata" (before realizing this was redundant after going and picking all the individual ones), it would just say, "skipping /sd-ext/...". Now it throws some error saying it can't recognize that partition or something, and still skips it because it can't format it. This is true even after I had re-partitioned. Beyond that I'm not having any real problems. apps go to SD just fine and run just fine.

Well, after a few months, the wife finally decided she wanted what I had...wait...she already does.
Sorry, she NOW wanted the Sense ROM on her LG Optimus M v2.2.1

As I had stated before, I haven't had any BT issues on my LG running Sense Rom Update.zip which is the second of the three incarnations of joneidy's fine work.
I just paired up her Jawbone Icon to her LG running the same ROM with no problems.

Not sure if there is something within the finer details of these two phones that allows for BT to work without a hitch but, if there is anything I can provide that might help resolve this for everyone, I'll be happy to assist.

Ok I'll try it and then restore my current image. While I do want bluetooth to work, A2SD is more important to me. I believe I'm beyond the point or near beyond the point of living without it. Once I find out, I'll post here and send a PM to joneidy as to the results.

Tried it. Same thing. Same exact errors. No dice whatsoever. I told Joneidy and I'll mention here as well for consistency that I also tried restoring a stock rom backup (stock rom/OC kernel) to make sure that nothing had happened with my phone itself, and so yes, bluetooth still works if I'm on stock rom, so all hardware is ok it seems.

Been using this ROM for about a week with rock. Everything has been working fine untill today sitting in the doctors office browsing reddit and it froze. Reboot and no sd. I can boot into recovery and see everything on the sd card, delete and add files, everything works. The ROM never mounts the sd card now. No clue what went wrong, was using phone for daily activities...

UPDATE:

restored with cm7 nand and got my SD back, minus some apps, dead icons on my cm7 home screen that worked when I made the backup, hows that work? lol. No clue what happened, root explorer crashes had to install astro but everything is there and the apps that didnt go *poof* still work. Weird...

Is my sd card dying? Could I have made and used nand backups with a bunk SD?

Plug your phone into your PC find the SD card and go to properties and you should see something that checks it for errors click it and scan your SD card for errors. Usually when my phone doesn't mount my SD card it was because I unpluged it without dismounting it hopefully this helps
