Root [ROM][UPDATE: 04/05/2012][bROM v1.2]

No problem guys! Yeah dude the little things always get ya!

And yeah the wifi has been giving me problems as well. I am going to work on that next. And the reboot issue has happened to me a handful of times but I believe it happens mostly when the cpu is under a load. Like if just exiting out of a resource heavy task and then trying to reboot has caused it to not reboot to recovery. Not sure if this is the culprit or what but I'm going to look into that as well!?
Thanks for the support everyone!

For those who use connectbot or terminal emulator...here is a quick way to delete some VM apps that are in this rom that you may not use. type:

su
su
mount -o remount rw /system
rm /system/app/XXXXX.apk

:p

XXXXX=name of the app

Or you can even delete them from the .zip before flashing or use a root explorer (es file explorer or root explorer) and navigate to /system/app and delete them and reboot. All should work fine though.

Anyone else's camera forceclose when trying to open?

I use the camera and hdmi a lot with this rom and I haven't had any issues nor a single camera forceclose error message since installing the rom successfully. I dont know if this makes a difference or not but i uninstalled a lot of apps, currently using mantera's kernel and the themed gingerbread launcher for this rom.

mine didnt even boot :/

Did you follow my instructions to a t? If not you should do so. Also be sure that after you flash the bROM(Not the the prep ROM but the actual ROM) do not wipe data or anything of that sort. My install scripts takes care of all this. If you wipe data after my ROM has been flashed(even if you haven't booted it up yet) you will bootloop 100% of the time, no way around it. It's due to the reboot recovery mods to the framework.

So flash the prep ROM(which will wipe data and deodex the system with the stock deodexed ROM), and boot it up. Boot back into recovery and flash my ROM. Boot up. It's as simple as that :)

I updated the ROM to v1.1.5. It is a minor update. I changed it to set the correct permission on /data/app, so no more app install issues. I also updated Google Maps to the latest one, added Barnacle WiFi tether, and removed some unneeded library files from the ROM.

I have included an update from v1.1 to v1.1.5. It will go and make sure /data/app permissions are correct, add Barnacle WiFi, update Maps, and remove the unneeded lib files, as well as update the build.prop to reflect the v1.1 to v1.1.5 change. I have also updated the add-ons for both build.props so they will show the correct version number and build time. This is for use only if you are currently on v1.1!!

If you have not flashed any of these ROMs, or went back to another ROM, follow the ROM install like normal and ignore the update zip, it is only for people currently running v1.1!!

If anyone has any questions about the update install or the full ROM install please post them or PM me!!

Thanks to everyone for the support, bug reports, etc.

Enjoy! :)

Everything is running Is smooth on this ROM. The only thing I want to know is if I could flash Thunder prop file so I could play my gameloaf games that I have already.(:)thanks Brandon great work)

Do this all right after another...
Flash stock kernel
Flash stock thunder.prop
Flash broms thunder.prop
Flash kernel of your choice (brom or fock)

The only way it has worked for me

This ROM is the sh*t!!! Just like your ROM on the intercept, u never fail to make my day brandon lol only issue is my battery is draining quick, haven't messed with overclocking...

yeah...my battery is draining quickly on this rom just like it did on stock rom. I didn't overclock either."

oh no! froyocream has competition now  lol

:D i loved this rom on the intercept and i love it now!

Lol you knew this day would come!

My battery seams to be doing good. Check your deep sleep time. And also what governor are you using.
Ondemand is the default and what I use and I had the tweak script set the upthreshold to 45% but I believe its to low because its keeping it at a higher clock speed to much. I got mine at 65% now and its still snappy but seams to be doing a little better on the battery life!

How do I check the deep sleep time? And the govnuh is ondemand, havent touched that and its at 1ghz. The rom is still effin awesome lol I'm so glad I was finally able to get a triumph 3 days ago and it couldn't have been better timing! I actually just flashed bROM on my intercept for s&g's lmao once again thanks for the great work! Wish I had a computer so I could learn the art of developing :( gonna thank you here and "good" u up over at sdx :D

Advice to who looking for the best Custom rom for Motorola Triumph.
To much appreciated, bROM v1.1.5 is the best rom ever!!!!! works smooth at my motorola triumph none of the other roms works good like this always have bugs and problems, but bROM is really AWESOME !!!!!!!

I use cpu spy to check deep sleep times! And I use setcpu to setup profiles to conserve power and tune the governor settings.

Hopefully I can get to work on my kernel now that I got my rom fairly stable. And I'm also looking to solve the issue where it bootloops I'd you wipe the data partition!

But I don't know about it being the best rom. Zig and mobster have turned out some pretty sick running froyo Roms and then there's cm7 and cm9 and miui as well!!

But thanks for the feedback everyone!

this roms pretty awsome i was kinda iffy from going from 4.0 to all the way back to 2.2! but i did it and i dont regret it
