Are you saying this windows app rooted your Android 4.4.2? Can you please verify it is actually rooted?(did this vvvvvv before seeing response)
i used iRoot that i downloaded from www.mgyun.com it says it rooted my fone successfully all i did was download the .exe file, installed it on my laptop, connected my phone then clicked root and it did everything else. no other files to download.
If you are rooted, you will need to remove bloatware to free up memory.is there any specific steps to use to get the extra memory or will i automatically have access to it post rooting?

If I were you, I would install PhilZ recovery and install the deodexed debloated romok, i figured that much out now how can you tell what bloatware removal won't screw up your fone? i removed some factory apps like the google books and stuff like that but what about the other stuff that aren't actually apps? how to tell what's needed for fone to work correctly and what's not needed?
The only things I can guarantee are safe are the things i removed from the deodexed rom. There is a list in the first post of this thread.
It works for me. It is the spoiler button, not really a link. It just opens a drop-down. I can't troubleshoot forum issues. If it is not working you will need to report it as a problem to a mod.i attempted to click on the link to the list and it came back an error...
Not sure, but it does not crash in ChromeDoes anybody know why my browser (Firefox) keeps crashing when I click on a download link in the OP?
That depends if you are asking specifically about Lollipop roms. Someone could build cm12 for this device if they were so inclined. Someone could also make a custom rom from the stock 4.4.2 rom. So the answer is no technically.Hey Super, do we have to wait for Boost to make Lollipop available in order to make a new ROM?
Well, for me to build a Lollipop rom it would either need to be from cm12 source or a Lollipop stock rom from Boost/ZTE.I see. Doubt that will happen for this device anytime soon.. But for you to build one, as you did with SuoerRom and the KitKat version, it would have to be released from ZTE first, right?
cm12 source is freely available. I doubt i will build cm12 from source for this device. If Boost/ZTE ever releases a Lollipop update, I will absolutely make new stock roms. I would not hold my breath for this update however.Gotcha. Do you think you may ever do so, if you find a source?
I hear ya, it took em long enough to release KitKat. Well thanks brother and I appreciate the replys.cm12 source is freely available. I doubt i will build cm12 from source for this device. Amen to that! SupeR, and edodson84 have made me feel like I have a $400-$500 device. I can honestly say I love this phone. I am so grateful for these guys, you've no idea. So thanks again devs and all the people in this thread (and others) for all the work and advise. I hate the term 'noob' but I was in the beginning. This has been an awesome learning experience. I am committing to buying @SuoerR and @edodson84 a beer (or coffee) ad soon as I get paid. And though I know its not about the money with them, but a little donation wouldn't hurt. Thank you fellas.I just wanted to pop in here and say thanks a lot SuperR for all the work. I am under a budget and just recently picked one of these phones up certified pre-owned and it feels like a hidden gem. Especially with your help here. Not feeling buyers remorse.
And that's a damn shame. People get so caught up in these forums they seem to forget that the developers are 'volunteering' their time, NOT getting paid to assist those in need of help. You guys are appreciated. Now can you please hurry up and make a Lollipop ROM for us....! lolIt is not often we get posts just for thanks. It is very much appreciated
Learned something last night while messing around. I suddenly got an "insufficient storage space available" message when trying to install an app from play store apk. It was an app I previously installed (and converted to system app) while checking stuff out but ripped out to try others. Anyways, Play app said it wasn't installed, TB said it wasn't installed but wouldn't install from there either, app installer gave similar results. So I went to Play Store in BROWSER and it stated the app I was trying to install was already there, so I used a RootBrowser and found the apk in system/app with unusual name! Deleted & rebooted - problem solved.I'm still getting the "running out of storage" error in notifications. I only added maybe five apps from the play store. I'll figure something out.
Does anyone have a script to reverse the partitions ? I wanted to switch back to the 4.1.2
