Root [ROM] Warp 4G Stock B12 KitKat 4.4.2 Deodexed and Unmodified

I've been thinking bout going back to SuperR's ROM. The KitKat rom is cool but a little slow I think. And a little glitchy if you ask me. Hadn't thought about comparing rom benchmarks though.

Low. I swear on my life I benchmarked over 40,000! The JB ROM 4.1.2 CDZ OC kernel @1988Mhz

so you think this phone with that set up runs better personally, going back to jb?
Performance? Yes, but ONLY cuz there's an OC Kernel available. Remember - no WiFi available w/ cdz OC kernel. If a KK OC kernel is made.. Who knows? [emoji41] I mostly used Jim Smith's Jock 1.5 kernel. Real stable

NOTE1:
If you have not updated to 4.4.2 (B12) via OTA, you should flash this partition updater AND the rom of choice. You only need to flash this once.

NOTE2: Your device must have CWM/PhilZ to flash ROMs.

NOTE3: These zips are unsigned so you will need to disable signature verification in CWM/PhilZ before flashing.

Flash in CWM/PhilZ as follows:
  1. Download ROM of choice
  2. Put the ROM.zip on your sdcard if not already
  3. Reboot to CWM/PhilZ Recovery
  4. MAKE A BACKUP!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Wipe data/Factoy reset
  6. Install partition updater from sdcard (see NOTE1 above)
  7. Install ROM from sdcard
  8. Reboot
  9. Enjoy!

If Framaroot didn't work then use SuperR's root method for 4.4.2 KK OS

where can i find that at in this thread? these forums always have so many pages in one forum it's confusing af...
Look in the first post in this thread. You will see a link toward the bottom that says Root instructions for 4.4.2 devices.

Root Instructions for full stock 4.4.2 devices

Download the
Warp 4G Unbrick tool iso
Download SuperSU.zip and put it on the sdcard of your device
(optional - only if you want to install PhilZ too) Download PhilZ_recovery.zip and put it on the sdcard of your device

Enable USB debugging on your device - go to Settings > About phone. Tap on SW version several times until it says you are a developer. Hit back to get to the main settings, choose Developer options, check USB debugging, agree to the terms.

Use your favorite burning software to burn the iso image to cd. ImgBurn for windows is nice because it is free, easy, and effective. Personally I make bootable usb flash drives instead of cd's. There is a program called Unetbootin that makes the process very easy. Once the cd is burned or the USB flash drive is created, put it in your pc and reboot. Enter into your pc bios and change the boot order making the cd drive/flash drive the first to boot. Normally to get into pc bios, you need to press one of the following: del, f2, f10, or f12. It depends on the pc but it is usually right after the pc starts and it will say on the screen which one to press.

Plug in your device to the usb port.

Open the folder marked My Documents on the desktop
Then choose ZTE_Unbrick_Tool
Right click on partitions folder
Left click on Open in Terminal
(thanks to ghost915 for posting this easier method of getting to the right folder)

Type the following in the terminal:
adb reboot bootloader
(you will need to accept something on the device at this point or it will say the device is unauthorized)

Once you are in bootloader type:
fastboot boot warplte_mmcblk0p16_recovery.img
(this will boot your device into PhilZ recovery. It will not install it, just boot to it. You will have the ability to use it as normal until you reboot)

(optional) Flash PhilZ_recovery.zip like a normal ROM on your device to install PhilZ
Flash SuperSU.zip like a normal ROM on your device. Reboot your device and enjoy root :)

any way you could possibly post a step-by-step video? idk which is the partition. T.T'''

i can't seem to format my cd-r to burn the iso image to it. suggestions? i've tried burning the iso image using the default burner and the 2 listed above... all three failed...

There are links in the instructions. Where it says to download something, it is a link to the thing you need to download.

I already know this... i downloaded all three files. i don't know how to tell wtf a partition is.. therefore i don't know how to recognize it.... i've also right clicked on every folder. i don't have the option to 'open in terminal'

No need to format the cd-r. Just use a blank one, use cd burning software with the option similar to "burn image to disk"

You don't need to know what a partition is, just follow the instructions ;)

do i actually have to burn the iso image to the disc or can i just copy and paste it on the disc as if the disc was a data disc?

I found a tutorial on how to burn an iso with imgburn, the windows program i linked in my instructions. Hope it helps :)

(did this vvvvvv before seeing response)
i used iRoot that i downloaded from www.mgyun.com it says it rooted my fone successfully all i did was download the .exe file, installed it on my laptop, connected my phone then clicked root and it did everything else. no other files to download.
