Root [ROM] Warp 4G Stock B12 KitKat 4.4.2 Deodexed and Unmodified

Will someone give this deodexed rom a try? First, it is rooted. Second, the permissions now match the ones found in the official update. I don't think the permissions will make much, if any difference for functionality but here it is anyway ;)

I tried the new ROM but having serious issues downloading anything from playstore.. Maybe I needed to update it before trying to DL other APKs?? Had to restore to post here.. I'll try again now

I had the same trouble with the Play Store. You are correct, it is updating and does not work properly while it updates. Once it is finished it worked fine.

Oh OK.. I refused to let it auto update so that must be why I couldn't do anything.. I gotta do some other things in the meantime but will try again later.. Did anyone else have issues with TB? Does the new ROM fix it? If there's no answer in a few hrs I'll try again. I'm just busy as hell today
 
The only problem I'm noticing is when I'm typing in a text box and I go to a word that I typed to correct it whatever application I'm in will force close. has anybody else experienced this? It does it in the messaging app and the android forums app.
I tried the stock keyboard and Google keyboard I experienced the problem on both keyboards

I don't have this problem. Just tested it with stock keyboard and Swiftkey. Only checked the messaging app since I don't have the AF app.

Oh wow.. Thank You! Was that KK permission change meant to help or restrict apps & do u think it'll be an issue with other APKs in the future? Pretty bad that someone had to make a flashable to fix TB.. LOL. Ur definitely The Man, SuperR!!

It probably has something to do with security if I had to make a guess. It should not hurt anything, but it will allow other apps that write to the external sdcard to work as well.

Well then.. that is really awesome SuperR! I bet that flashable will become the holy grail of making slightly incompatible apps work correctly with KK, so I would definitely keep that one in the OP somewhere... That flashable was definitely a great idea. I'm more than extremely thankful that you took the time to solve that issue

Yes I've noticed similar issues myself but it doesn't seem to be consistent enough to wonder anything serious and yet at the same time I'm still trying to transition from KitKat ROM #1 to KitKat ROM #2.. I'll report back on those findings later this evening once I've done the full transition

I tested it only on ROM #2 fyi. Not sure I typed anything at all on the first one lol

Lol, I tried ur flashable on #1. I'll try it on #2 a bit later. If it doesn't work then I'll report and switch back to #1 until it gets worked on. Of course I'll be elbows deep in it with ya trying to help in anyway I can. This community would have greatly suffered without your time and efforts! ..And thanks again. This KK ROM has actually became nicer than I ever expected in reality

BTW I use Jellybean keyboard 4.2 (paid) by johntanmi..

I tested the flashable only on #2 so I know it works on both now ;)

It happens almost every single time with me. It seems when I use the voice input key to write my words and then I will click on one of the words and then a little drop down menu appears with other words suggestions. It doesn't happen every single time but more than 50 percent of the time if I click on one of those words it will force close. it does it on both KitKat number 1 and number 2 roms for me. I'm right now trying to figure out why I might just have to turn correction suggestions off or something

Ok, it happened to me too. I was not using voice to type so i did not get the pull down to choose a word. Once I used voice and tried to correct it, i got the pull down and messaging fc'ed. Happens using stock keyboard and Swiftkey. I have no idea why. I will see what I can do but I am currently clueless.

Any idea if this happens on the unmodified rom? Could be something with the deodexing since the app is decompiled and recompiled during that process.

Yeah.. Mine's about 10-25% of the time..
Will a "fix permissions" command (like in cwm, cuz I can't find it in Phil'z) work/fix that?

I don't believe it is a permissions issue but not certain of anything at this point.
