Root [ROM] Warp 4G Stock B12 KitKat 4.4.2 Deodexed and Unmodified

Gone for a while, just wondering if the fc problem with the keyboard got solved :p

No. Turns out it is an Android bug present on many other devices as well. There was a fix released for it but it can't be implemented without building android from source. We do not have the stock source available so we are out of luck.

That's fine, I don't mind it just wondering if it got solved, appreciate the build though.

In your honest opinion, do you believe this ROM will open doors to more ROMs?

1) go to settings > about phone. Tap on SW version several times until it says you are a developer. Now you will have the option in the main settings menu
2) I also installed xposed with gravitybox and my launcher also force closed... Once lol. Never again after that.
3) You only need to flash the partitions once

Thank you! I uninstalled gravity box, doesn't want to cooperate anymore. Says something about framework and closes. Oh well, appreciate your work.

This seems like a great rom. But has anyone figured out a way to actually root the ZTE 4g n9510 Kitkat 4.4.2?
Yes, but you need a computer. Use fastboot to boot PhilZ recovery and flash SuperSU. This method will root your device without flashing a rom or installing a custom recovery.

What version of xposed installer are you using? Do you have a link for the download? I figure if it's working OK for you, I'll try that version.
Thanks!

I use the stable Xposed Installer, version 2.6.1. The link bcrichster posted has the stable one also, you just need to click "Show older versions" toward the bottom. I have not tried the experimental so I can't comment on it.

Ok so I've done some testing and have found that my 3g data speeds are double when only on CDMA mode... When on LTE/CDMA my 3g is like 1x speed... Anyone else experience this???

Im currently using latest experimental xposed, gravity box, and tinted status bar all working well :)

I'm running stable Xposed 2.6.1 and found that LTE is almost ALWAYS 1x speed since KK update... If I'm lucky! The problem with that is that I live a block from Boost/Sprint tower so I'm used to full bars even if I was to dig a bug out shelter, lmao. Haven't tried CDMA only tho.. So I really don't know WTF is wrong with said update but I'm sure SuperR's work shouldn't be part of the equation but I only seem to know enough to get myself in trouble, Lmfao

Edit: tried CDMA only just a moment ago and WHAM!! Speed seems BS crazy fast... I don't get it, lol... I know I'm throttled for next cpl days still but speed SHOULD still be consistent (?) Oh. And reception went from barely 1bar (Lte) to upwards of 3 - max. I restored back to JB and my bars max out again - I was sitting in same spot. Aka: CONFUSED AS HELL! But KK has so much to offer, lol..
**Flaw in Boost/ZTE programming?!**

Love the KK, here's a few issues I've run into:

The 1 bar signal strength. Calls are clear, but 4G went way down in speed. went from near 30MB down to 5MB down. Will test that in other areas of town.

Voice dialing went crazy. When I say dial so and so, or just the name, most of the time I get a whole string of numbers. Sometimes I get the right name.

Getting texts have gone to shiznit. I no longer get them instantly. Sometimes it takes a few days, and sometimes it takes several power downs for them to come through.

Other then that, everything else seems to be working great!! Really like KK. Good job guys!!!!

Hey I am representing the boost max forum and have a question... Did anyone complain to get the pushed update or is it something that they are rolling out

..Both?! Lmfao! Maybe they got tired of the Devs making stuff happen before they did and got one up on 'em by rolling it out. We're having conflicts and issues ATM but these guys here are Awesome and always fixing their F-ups.. They've even stalked the forums here before and used some of the Dev's fixes & workarounds to roll out updates (i.e. Warp Sequent, lol).. They also know that the only thing ZTE have on these guys is the source code they don't like to share - tons of bitching just to get THAT! And the code they DO post always seems broken/messed up. We'd all be hating stock handsets without these Dev's & Themers here...

Is it possible for me to port over this ROM. I am a new developer and still learning. But I am taking the step since we have no development. I tried to port but during install, I had permission issues which kept ROM from booting

It is possible. These devices are very similar. I would try first to see if you can get it to boot by swapping the boot.img with the Max boot.img. If it boots, then start working on all the other things.

Going to give it a shot... Should I remove updater script for the specific device meaning so the device flash won't matter

Just remove the top line from the updater-script. It is the assert that checks for warplte. You can also replace the warplte with stormer if you prefer.
