Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

i think i can live its trial and error with this stuff ya know many V's work in many diffrent ways so somthing that works on one may not on another

The Dev says you need to downgrade to Busybox version 1.18.2 or you might get errors that don't need to be errors. Go to the Devs site [Script][U9 Beta 6.1] V6 SuperCharger! The ONLY Android MEMORY FIXER! 3G & KAK! - xda-developers
This has all the info you need and more. Go to the Market and Find a Busybox installer that will let you downgrade (I can't remember but I think its the one by JRummy16)

I did it without downgrading Busybox. Seems to work fine thankies! =] I'm not sure if it was the supercharging or just the new update on the ROM itself but my Quadrant score has boosted to a whopping 1400+ (Peformance/Min.480/Max.806)! CRAZY :D

With that said, I'm going to see my new score and compare with my old ones that I have posted not to long ago.

Edit-
Wow my score actually dropped about 200-300 points. I wonder why..

Quadrant score was 1200-1300 a couple builds ago, but now with this build + supercharger, my score is 900..

Well, after running the latest build, I had to revert back to the previous version.

For some reason, WIFI wouldn't connect. If it did connect, it would kick off within a minute, then went into "obtaining IP" mode forever.

Not sure what happened, the build was running great for the last few days, then *boom*

When I installed the lastest build, I wiped everything 3 times, including the sd card as I wanted a clean slate.

Any ideas? Anyone else have this sort of thing happen to them?

As I have mentioned in the post before I'm a huge kernel junky when it comes to flashing. Would love to see a flashable form of the kernel so I don't have to go in and flash the whole rom all over again. Any ideas where/when this is to be available.

Many thanks to you Jerry and the others with their hands in IHO. :D

I have reported the same issue on the previous page (I already had V6 supercharger running prior to the 9/19 build). I have reflashed the ROM like 3 times now and it seems like the performance is not as poor as reported by Linpack and Quadrant (the scores basically dropped by half) so I was wondering if it has something to do with the reading of these scores in this new build.

Is it possible to keep wifi connected even when the screen is off?

I've looked through all the data and wireless settings and don't see the option like in stock.

Here is a flashable kernel version 3.1F(F for Flashed kernel), that will update your current IHO ROM to latest kernel.
Just reboot into recovery and flash this kernel: Link removed
Don't clean/wipe anything...just flash the kernel update and reboot.
Enjoy,
Bob

Edit: removed link...Didn't work as well as I thought it would...

Even with the decreased scores, performance does seem way better and a lot smoother, Soo I'm not complaining. Lol

Actually, I noticed a slowdown when I was set to "SmartAss" governor. I tested Quadrant with smartass/min.480/max.806 and got like 700+ scores. I changed it to Performance/min.480/max.480 and I got these 1400+ scores. Try Performance setting then test it. Unless.. you're already set to performance then IDK IDK

What exactly is a "Kernel"? and why would I want to flash it?
Kernel (computing) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In computing, the kernel is the main component of most computer operating systems; it is a bridge between applications and the actual data processing done at the hardware level. The kernel's responsibilities include managing the system's resources (the communication between hardware and software components).

I don't know what I did wrong, but after I flashed this kernel , my phone just hang in the LG log screen after reboot, and I could not even boot to recovery.

The qtADB could not see any files in my SD card either, it looks like the SD card got wiped out!.

I got the SD out and put it to my laptop's card reader and the Windows explorer sees it, weird, but it is a good sign nonetheless.

I used ROMToolsV231 to flash the recovery image to phone, and the recovery screen came up, and after restore the backup, my phone is back to normal.

Just registered so I can inform you guys.

Bob many thanks to you my friend. Much appreciated. <3

*edit*

Got stuck on the LG logo. Will I run into issues if I have data2ext?
