Well I am pretty drunk right now, so some of the posts seemed critical to me, and I wont even remember that I wrote this post tomorrow morning.


I just want the Motion Community to be able to keep a willing dev interested in your phone, trust me it is very easy to lose interest in a phone based on how the Community treats you


Lets end this discussion here, and try to keep the thread on topic
 
Okay for easy figuring out of issues can we please follow this format for bug reports:



Baseband you were on before flashing: c, d, e, or f

What mods you're running(this includes using a root app to fix the issues like rootDim etc.):

What the issue is(and if more than one issue please list):

It would also be great if everyone who installs this also installs a logcat app so that you can post/paste/attach the logcat to your bug report

it'll be easier to figure out how to weed out any problems if we all follow a similar format...so please please do this...it will make it go a lot faster for all of us...


Also, who has not had any issues beyond the ones listed in the OP? (4g and NFC)? can you please report in the above format :)
 
I know we all went through trying different ril libs in the old cm build, but has anyone tried flashing a baseband from one of those phones to match the ril we're trying to use? I don't see any reason it wouldn't work as long as its a cdma/lte device with the same soc (MSM8960),and if everything is matching what would work on that device, it should work on the motion for 4g. Afaik the worst case scenario as long as you have the modem backup like recommended, just flash back to a motion baseband and restore your backup.
 
A lot of the apps that worked before are now locking up and force closing, such as the play store, facebook, and the phandroid app.

This fixed it, I never thought it would work! I was under the impression that the only recovery method was emergency mode. This made my day, thank you! Fixed my boot loop!

Great Idea, because I'm not sure that the firmware version is affecting the currect OS the same way. Also, use pastebin.com for the logcats and post the link here...don't flood the forum with long reports.
So far, the lone thing that I can confirm that is broke is the key lights and brightness...enjoy the extra battery life while they are not working ;)
Be sure to be very detailed in reporting problems...If I can't reproduce the issue, I can't fix it!

EDIT: Forgot to mention that if you have a reboot problem, be sure to get the last_kmsg file from /proc/ as soon as the phone boots back up.
You can use File Manager to get the file, just change to Root Access mode in the setting of the program.

Try the new playstore 4.0, it has never crashed for me :D
 
Was I not supposed to factory reset?
I Wiped Cache, Wiped Dalvik Cache, Factory reseted. And flashed the rom..
Nothing has gone wrong from that.. At least not that I know..

Also. I was wondering. How come some of my apps force close? Like Ifunny closes when looking at the featured sometimes..

aLogcat just says reading logs, please wait. Which one works? Trying to figure out why facebook install keeps crashing the phone, and why navigation always says searching for gps while maps itself finds it fine (-plus all the random crashes).
 
Facebook did not want to install either. I sent the apk from my gf and it reboots. I try to install from play store And it reboots.
I copied and pasted into data/app rebooted And it worked
 
I had alot of problems running this rom...it kept freezing and I had a few reboots and the play store keeps closing..I am running colab rom now and it is fine.. I really want this to work..I did run trinity supreme script and made a few build prop edits...should I try flashing back to the way the phone came stock? and then installing this rom?
 
Experiencing strange reboots when using the status bar notifications dealing with Google play


Seems to happen with pre updated google play aswell.

I tried to get to recovery by doing the process of holding power button and then reboot-recovery. When it powered back up I was in morningcall and it said morningcall has no room or something like that. I then tried again and was hitting the volume down until it started again. Now it was stuck on the pink LG logo and kept vibrating every couple of seconds until I let go of the volume button. Then I retried again and somehow the CWM logo started loading but stalled for about 2-3 minutes. I hit the back button and it started loading again and finally I was back in the CM10 rom.

So very weird, now I still need to know how to get back to restore one of my saved set ups before I started with this CM10 rom. I tried to use 2nd init recovery but it doesn't work, will start the process but then quits before the actual recovery options become available. Any help is appreciated.

Before I forget, please understand that this rom is great I've never actually had any CM mod installed on any phone before and I can see why everyone is so anxious to get this up and running. Potentially the best rom I've ever seen. I see many saying that they have several choices for themes but mine only shows one and when I choose it it doesn't work. Also how can I tell which firmware I'm on now, I was on f before this or is it even relevant once you go to CM10?
 
I have a problem with bluetooth audio. Phone calls work just fine, but when I play music, it plays through the external speakers. I have the logcat, but its really long. What parts should I copy/paste?

Just use pastebin.com and paste it all.
 
Is anyone else having problems with T.B? For some reason it won't show the apps listings where you can freeze or delete the apps. I've tried differant settings and its a no go. I need to get access to it. I also have the pro version installed and have deleted and reloaded both but the problem persists.

Just tried the reboot recovery again and once again it shows this : Security Error Morningcall is empty.
I can get back to the CM10 rom by simply holding volume down and power until it resets but I need recovery.

Is there any other way to be able to get to recovery and restore the collab rom?
