Root [ROM][WIP]CM10.0.0.l0-BobZ

That red thingy sounds similar to choosing Strict Mode in developer options
Hey can i ask you all
Do you have the same typing issues with web browsers like on the stock rom?

I don't think I've ever had any typing issues

Ok my turn the red flashing thing happened on more then jus boot for me. My phone made sound but after a call no sound at all not even music. Had no idea how to get data cuz the network mode options were completely different. The screen appears to be off but backlight is still on and it takes a few tries to get screen completely off. And lastly it wasn't reading my sd card in the file manager. However the primary boot was a lot faster maybe two times faster and that is usually the longest. I did flash over E. I am not complaining i am jus giving PG feedback so he can work on these problems. I am thankful for all his hard work, effort, and development.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if someone else already mentioned this or if everyone already knew and I'm just late :p
But if you're planning to flash from version E.
Don't install the collab ROM :p because the collab ROM puts you straight to firmware F. Which is not really the one you want :p, I was experiencing force closes still and saw that everyone that flashed from E like I thought I did, didn't have force closes, haha oh my, silly me :p
Well I forgot to back up firmware E. So now back to the unbrick guide and re flashing everything :p

Here, as you can see. After flashing the Collab ROM, it's now firmware F, and not E, which is the one I want :p

I think that the problems you are referring to aren't linked to the collab rom but rather the cm10. Its advised to boot into cm10 from the e version because its so much smoother and reliable than any other. The f version on the collab rom is very good, I don't have any f/c's with it or any other big problems.

Right now I prefer using collab because of problems with cm10. Its very difficult for me to use the unbrick return to stock method because my hard drive is dead and I can't get this puppy linux to load and run all the files needed for unbricking and returning to stock when something goes wrong.

I'd love to be able to be part of working with the improvement of any rom especially one like cm10 that is so obviously superior to anything else we can get right now. Still collab is dependable enough to make sure I don't miss any calls or messages from my doctors right now. I'm about to go into my third surgery in 4 months and all my preparations are done through this phone.

Good luck with your surgery!
But I wasn't trying to say that the collab ROM wasn't good because that would be a huge lie. It's amazing. I was just gonna say that if you would like to install CM10 with firmware E. Don't flash the collab Rom before you flash CM10 that way you can still get on version E.

Nice the fact that you are not getting one pg puts a smile to my face, I know you can't make any promises of what you can deliver but still happy your going to have one top help us out.

Quick question here. I got the Mms app by PG that allows long messages to split.
Would me installing a theme for CM 10 make this splitting of the long messages no longer work? Or would it be safe for me to apply the theme and the MMS would still split?

I got you now, my bad, I misunderstood your meaning about the flashing of collab and cm10. The advice should now be to not flash into cm10 from the collab rom period.

Or that you must be on version e before flashing cm10, it all amounts to the same thing in the end.

To PG, another apology in order from me. I was premature in assuming that the red outline flashing had to be from enabling strict mode because that was the easiest way to reproduce those results. So I don't know if thats how it becomes enabled after flashing your rom. or even more important, how it can be disabled if strict mode isn't checked. There has to be something else that produces the red flashing. It doesn't appear harmful just very annoying.

Were you able to find out what triggered it after flashing your rom and if so how to disable it?

Long as its a theme chooser theme it shouldnt touch anything other than appearance.
