Root [ROM][WIP]CM7.2.0 RC1-BobZ

does anyone else have the problem of insufficient memory message when trying to download and install from the market? i have over 150MB internal and over 7GB external free. i reflashed several times. at first i had no problems so i then flashed my wifes as we both have the optimus m. right from the start she had this problem and a few hours later my phone started doing it. i tried deleting cache and reflashin. then i deleted both caches and reflashed. reboot many times. it worked on hers last night then i woke up and back to the same problem, same with my phone.

i dont know if this is pertinent info or not but before flashing i did a batch backup of all apps and data with titanium and restored after flashing bob's rom. i did this on both phones. the restore was flawless on my phone but on my wifes it only restored a fraction of the apps while most of them were crossed out even though it said "1 backup" under each of them, and when browsing titanium backup on the sd card with a file manager they were there. i dont know if any of this could have contributed to my memory issues but i thought i would share everything that happened just in case.

This is a Market issue, not rom.
Try moving the 01mvdalvik file out of init.d, located here: /system/etc/init.d/01mvdalvik, clear market cache and data, reboot recovery, wipe cache/dalvik_cache, reboot.

how do i move that file? file managers say i dont have permission so i tried from an adb shell which told me that it was a read only file system. how can i change it to w/r? (chmod gives me the same result) when i try the command with su it just gives me some options, which ive tried to no avail. btw thank you for your reply BobZhome!

thanks macjay420 ill give that a try next time i just used:

$ adb shell
$ su
$ mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system

@ mario16 i just moved the file to my sdcard and everything works now.

i used android sdk and did this:

$ adb shell
$ su
$ mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
$ mv /system/etc/init.d/01mvdalvik /system/sdcard

and then followed the rest of the instructions provided by BobZhome

I wonder if the MMS will soon have a patch or be fixed, this is an amazing rom. The ring lockscreen just made me jaw drop lol xD

I really like this updated rom, but no a2sd??? Why? just curious! So I run my apps straight from my sd card? So sd ext is not accessible/usable at all? I also am unable to flash metro off, keep getting aborted messages??? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

As far a the a2sd, bob probably took it out because people were having to manually flash it any way.

Can this file be deleted or should I move it somewhere?

Do you have or know where I can get this file so that I can flash it?

There is a thread on here about dark tremor's a2sd. You can also google it to find it. I'm on my phone right now and it's hard to post links, or otherwise I'd provide you with one.

Hey Bob I noticed someone on this page (9) commented about not having sound when recording video.....this is also true in reppard's rom. Is there a fix or any suggestions?

An easy fix is to "mute camera shutter" in Cyanogenmod Setting > Sound

A better fix is to delete camer_click.ogg and VideoRecord.ogg in /system/media/audio/ui

No I can actually watch it happen lol

Lol, that's strange. Try turning off the wifi sleep by going to wireless and settings, press the menu key, select advanced and then select wifi sleep policy and change it to "never"

Edit: if that fails then delete the access point your connected to and then select it again and re-enter any security key needed.

Hey Bob, I'm flashed the new update 7.1.0.1 and it just freezes at the red LG logo. I did a format cache partition and factory reset. Any suggestions?
