The zip got corrupted somehow. You'll have to redownload it and transfer it to your sdcard from recovery. If you have access to a pony drive for your micro SD I suggest tranfering it that way to insure success

Also try a different USB cable if you have one on hand

Finally got ahold of the phone and deleted those two .ogg files and phone now has audio playback for video recordings......thanks Bob! :):D

I can receive and text on this rom now, You need root explorer and mount the r/w mode and go to data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db and delete that file (One that says telephony.db) then restart your phone, and try sending a pic mes and try downloading one as well :P Thanks to pmb116 for posting this solution :P
 
i keep getting "failed to move application. there is not enough storage left." when i try to move apps from phone to sd card when i have over 6GB of free space on my sd card. this is happening on 2 optimus m phones with bobs rom. i dont get this error with every app just around half of them. anyone have any ideas why im having this problem?

Are you trying to move stock apps or market apps? If so explain which apps, if they are not system apps then use something like phone 2 sd card apps. Don't just manually do it.
 
To move ALL apps to SD go to: CyanogenMod settings, select applications, check "allow application moving" or the first option in that field, and then select the second option and check external storage. No need to waste precious space on redundant market apps :)

Note: apps still have to be moved through manage apps. If the problem persist try using custom recovery and wipe BOTH caches.
 
no these are not stock apps. i was trying to use gemini app manager and apps2sd to move them over. some of the apps that give me this error message on my phone are: shell commander, opera, popsci, nerdful, yahoomail, fb messenger, g4, and some on my wifes phone: ypmobile, wki encyclopedia, speed test, reflexology foot chart, pandora, nytimes, nutrition facts, npr news, keepfit, homework, cbs news, cancer preventing food, etc. my wife has tons of apps that wont move.

all of the above has been done since day 1. ive already cleared both caches repeatedly. actually i dont have the dalvik anymore as i moved it per bobs instructions in order to stop a similar error message that wouldnt allow me to download from the market. now when i hit clear dalvik in recovery i get some error message which is because that file isnt there anymore, i moved it to my sd card.
 
If you have a few nandroid backups on your SD I've found this error even with alot of free space left. Backup your nandroids to your computer except for your latestif you prefer and wipe the others off your SD card.

thank you! that worked on my phone. i thought it didnt work on my wifes phone at first, however, it did work i just had to move each app one at a time. it gives me the same error if i try to move a batch. (i did try one at a time before deleting my nandroid backups and didnt work before but works now)
 
This rom works great, thanks a lot for the hard work!
One question though, I am experiencing reboots while scrolling (either in gmail, browser, google reader). It will work fine for some time, but eventually after using the app for some time it will reboot.
Anyone else experienced this? Or happen to know a way to see the logs afterwards to see what might be causing this freeze/reboot?

Try lowering you CPU speed a notch or two and see if that works..:)
 
I just noticed that if you click the android version in settings in about phone that it will show zombie art xD idk if its me lol. I had to click it like 40 times xD also on mod version xD... That duck is my boot animation lololol.

How did you come accross this? I mean what made you click the Android version that many times that you ran into this lol

Boredom and randomness lol. I remember i went and pressed airplane mode and checked settins and clicked phone state it changed, so i clicked all of it and bam, it showed up xD
 
Updated OP(first post) to new build.

This will be the last build for this thread, because CM just got bumped up to 7.2 RC0 this morning...see here
Since I can't change the thread name, I'll start a new one with the next build.
I started this build last night, before CM upgrade, that is why it's still 7.1.0.1.
