Root [ROM][WIP]CM7.2.0 RC1-BobZ

Needs to be a stock apn restored on a cm rom. If you noticed. Bobz is newer than Reppards causing a previous version needed to make it work. It has to be stock apn or teamchickenater apn backup restored on a cm rom. I also want to see how many lbs the XML files are. The stock should be around 30 40kbs and the bobz apn is around 330 or 390kb. Reppards and bobz are basically similar just missing some.

Ok cool so im gonna go download TCE and try to backup the apn, do you want a screenshot?

Bobz:390kb

Damn, :( I wonder why it worked on mine and 4 other optimus too. I'm totally bummed right nurrr. But then again, we all downgraded to the same stock rom.

Hey bob good job on the latest update. I haven't had time to work on my own build but i downloaded yours and flashed it. running very smooth! still need to update that apn list to mine so mms will work out of the box though ;)

Never mind! Just got a pic message. Works out of the box

A lot of work still to be done, not much works yet!

Ok I tried it but it didnt work, so I Deleted the telephony.DB and still no luck. Im giving up for now.

Try opening apn settings with the voice dialer and be sure that the metro pcs settings are checked.

I've had mms issues for weeks on every ROM. Tried this and behold mms worked like a charm

What is the code for the apn settings?

Not sure about any codes. But when you open the settings is the circle next to the metro option blank or checked?

If you mean how to open the settings then use the voice dialer. Open it, say Apn, select open apn and from there you can see if it's selected or not.

Which on was that? Teamchickeneater?

Yup, I went to bobz rom then to teamchickeneater then to bobz. And it worked. It didn't work with Kelso's apn settings in bobz. I'm guessing it has to be really close to stock. Since teamchickeneater only has no bloatware. You have opened the apn.XML file in notepad right? And see if they had keywords enable or disable?

Ok when I open openapn I don't see anything it just shows all blank llike there's no apns on here? And I even restored the stock one I backed up

I think that on the Ascend this was an issue. You had to manually enter the settings. And I think that on my optimus (I hope) this is the issue as its an easy fix.

Like I said, for Weeks no mms, then I checked the apn
settings and the metro pcs option wasnt checked. Quick mark of the circle and all was good.

Hopefully all you need is to have that filled correctly by choosing a new apn then filling it out accordingly. If nobody has the proper settings off hand I can put them up here for you early tomorrow.

That would be great if you could post the proper settings. When I went and looked, I had two MetroPCS selections so I just picked one and selected it. It would seem as if it worked cause I was able to send a picture to my wife's phone (also an OM) and then receive one from her phone (I had also made the selection on her phone). I'd like to see what the settings are, I didn't change or add any thing, just selected one of the two MPCS options
